Incredibly unique as the boutique hotel is not just a living museum of Chinese antiquities, but that the collector, architect, and owner is an American who has been preserving history for near 40 years. When temps are below zero, floor heating, soft beds and warm decor are greatly appreciated! Not to mention, their onsite 'duck house' produces some incredibly tasty roast duck! The adjacent museum is worth a 2-3 hour stroll through time.
