Pylewell Annex - Dog-Friendly Stay near Rhossili Bay, Gower

  • Pylewell Annex is a one-bedroom self-catering flat on a small Gower farm, 1.5 miles from Rhossili Bay and about five minutes by car. It is a quiet, practical base for the beach, walking, cycling, and exploring Gower with one well-behaved dog. Rhossili Bay was named the UK's No.1 dog-friendly beach by The Times.

    The flat has its own entrance, private parking, and a private patio with table and chairs. It is set up for two adults and can also accommodate a child.

    Inside
    Ground-floor living, one short step up to the entrance, and no stairs inside. Log burner with starter logs and kindling, fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, walk-in shower, Smart TV with Freeview, and free WiFi. A welcome bottle of wine and chocolates or biscuits are provided on arrival.

    For Dogs
    One well-behaved dog is welcome. A bowl, towel, treats, poo bags, and outside tap are provided for sandy paws.

    Walking and Cycling
    Local footpaths cross the fields around the property and the Welsh Coastal Footpath is just less than 10 minutes away on foot. Secure bike storage and drying space are available.

    Your Host
    Steve lives in them farmhouse and welcomes every guest in person on arrival. He can help with local walks, beaches, pubs, restaurants and directions. His family has been in Gower for generations and he has lived here all his life.

    Good to Know
    Pylewell Annex is Visit Wales four-star rated and holds Walkers Welcome and Cyclists Welcome accreditations. It is open March to November.

    Minimum stay is 7 nights with Saturday changeover from May to September, and 3 nights in March, April, October, and November.

Spacious, clean and well appointed 1 bedroom, ground level property, with large garden and beautiful views. Owner Steve is a local man who lives next door. Perfect for our first ever trip to the Gower

Steve is a very welcoming, helpful, and endlessly knowledgeable host. The annexe is perfect for 2 adults and a dog - out in the countryside but just a few minutes drive to the best of the Gower's dog-friendly beaches. And back at the annexe there are Steve's 2 dogs to play with in the very large garden!

Wonderful rural peaceful location.

Location perfect for walking and nearby beaches, with world class scenery. The property is clean, well equipped and spacious, to a high standard. Particularly impressed with the kitchen. Annex - Gower Countryside

The annexe had everything you needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The host (Steve) was very friendly and helpful. The views from the annexe over the Gower countryside was stunning, and its location so close to Rhossili Bay and its excellent beach was a real bonus.

Perfect location and wonderful host!

We stayed as a couple for a long weekend with our dog. We would not hesitate to recommend the Annex for yo ur next holiday on the Gower. The location is perfect - so close to Rhosili Bay and Steve is so friendly and helpful in offering suggestions on things to do and see. We can’t wait to return!

This annexe is a lovely property that is fully equipped -we have already recommended it to a friend. It is not only human friendly but very dog friendly-the host has beautiful dogs himself that played with our terrier and made him feel welcome. The host is generous and would do anything to help and left a lovely welcome ‘goody bag’. It is within minutes of the best beaches in Wales-you will not be disappointed with your stay! You will not regret staying here!

We loved everything about The Annex, it was immaculate, much bigger than I expected and so homely with everything you needed and more. The views from the Annex were amazing and with so many great places to visit right on the doorstep, this was the perfect place for us. The wine & chocolates were a lovely touch too. Steve was a great host, very friendly and always on hand if we needed anything. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this beautiful home to anybody.

Fabulous property with plenty of space for a couple. Comfortable and with all facilities needed. Welcoming and helpful owner, who’s happy to point you in the direction of a good walk, pub or restaurant. Location is ideal for exploring the area. 15 minute walk across fields to the Coast Path. 5 minute drive to Rossili. 10 - 30 minute drive to all main Gower beaches / walks / Mumbles. Fabulous.

Charming cottage, with a lovely sleeping room, a well equiped kitchen and cosy living room. The view from the terrace is stunning. Steve is the most caring landlord we have met so far. I injured my food and thanks to Steve‘s bandages and crutches we nevertheless could explore the beautiful beaches.
