"It is a terrible place to stay, the only (small) window of the studio was just above a generator running 24/7, so the smoke of the exhaust pipe would enter the studio if we wanted to open the window for fresh air! Plus constant noise of the engine. They send like 10 automatic emails in a day but never reply to my messages about my request to change room, never offer for a partial reinsbursement. "On a glance a really lovely property, however little things such as stains in the carpets, towels on the dryer had makeup from previous guests, broken items such as the toilet seat- still useable however just inconvenient. Overall the property serves its purpose with nice decoration, and a lovely kitchen."

"Very clean, plenty of kitchen goods if you wanted to cook yourself but only 5 minutes from the river and lots of options to eat. Quiet area but felt pretty safe."

"Excellent location approx 10 min walk to Shambles and attractions. Apart from the single beds squeaking every time you moved was a lovely little apartment to enjoy a weekend away with friends, ideal with the garage parking. Would recommend and we would stay again if in York."

"Lovely stay in the grand Old Dame of Leeds hotels . My first visit since its extensive refurbishment. There is some current building works / internal modifications going on but the hotel is working just fine . Looking forward to trying the new restaurant when its completed "

Great Stay

"Stayed here for two nights. Great hotel. Wonderfully warm welcome from Sam when we checked in. Great room. Really quiet. Perfect location, with everything in walking distance. Parking was ok. Couldn’t get in the hotel’s reserved spaces, so had to go on the main Peel Street site. No problems with this. A very reasonable £16/24h."

"The hotel is in a great location. The facilities were very good and the room was clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet was brilliant and had plenty of choices which were kept fresh, it was possibly one of the best breakfasts we've had in a hotel for a long time. The pool facilities are nice, although the pool is a little smaller than other hotels, the area clean and tidy with a few seats around the side. The hot tub was a decent size for a few adults though. We had a wonderful stay and would stay again if we were back up in York."
