We had a 2 night stay.
On arrival we were attended to by a less than enthusiastic receptionist.
There was no friendly conversation..
I asked her if I needed a towel, coin for locker..she said she didn’t know.
Cannot believe she’s not been asked that before…
We also had to ask where the pool was, what time breakfast was and where. Additionally we also wanted to know if we needed to book a table for dinner.
Although she did answer the questions, she should not have needed to be prompted. These are basic questions people usually ask.
On handing us the key, she was very clinical , again no conversation..other hotels we have stayed in usually offer their guest to ask for anything if needed and wish us a pleasant stay.
She didn’t do any of this.
Checkout was a little better..it was a different staff member.
Breakfasts were good, although I had to ask for water as there was none!
The fruit selection was always low by the time we arrived.
The general appearance of the hotel is that it’s looking tired.
I would not rate it as 4 stars.
The pool itself was nice.
Staff very helpful and friendly.
Unfortunately, the changing room was awful.
Very old and in disrepair. Needs a complete refurb.
Chipped and peeling paint, benches were water stained. Looked as if it hadn’t been re done since it was originally installed, shame.
There was a function on which finished around midnight.
So loud drunk individuals outside our window in car park! Woke us up!
