"The room was exceptionally spacious and full of character. Many hotels are a bit soulless but this is far from the case here. The staff were professional, friendly and always with a smile. I've seen a few reviews have commented on 'hidden charges' - breakfast isn't included but this is clear from the very start and there's no pressure to eat here in the morning. If you do, however, the food is excellent (we had dinner) and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this hotel."

"Had a wonderful stay at The Dabbling Duck. Our room was lovely and clean with a great view of the Village Green. The staff, who were extremely busy serving Sunday lunch were very polite and helpful. We had a booking in the restaurant, where the food was amazing, as was the breakfast. Over all, this is a stunning place to stay and chill, absolutely loved it, 10/10."

Unfortunately the hotel is is need of an update. We had the first room (51) on the ground floor. This backed onto a courtyard outside the kitchen. "A wonderful stay, friendly staff, comfortable clean room with very large bed. Amazing breakfasts and evening food. Safe parking and lovely location. Only minor issue was it was advertised on Expedia as separate shower and bath when in fact it was shower over bath. Thank you for looking after us."
