"I thought the hotel was excellent value for money. For a last minute stay on a Sunday night I paid $162 when most other comparable hotels in a similiar location were $250 to $300 on the same night. The location is excellent being close to Central and the CBD with plenty of excellent cafes close by.
One of the things I really liked was a seperate sink for kitchen type duties. I always find washing up in the bathroom a bit yuck ( think Kramer washing up while taking a shower, if you ever watched Sienfeld) . Also while there were a heap of pillows on the bed, they were different thicknesses. Such a simple thing but you hardly ever see it, someone has obviously thought about it. I like a low pillow and have resorted to carrying my own as mostly they are too high. I had forgotten mine this time but I had a selection of heights, so all good.
When selecting this hotel I read several reviews saying it was old fashioned. I didn’t see this as my room was modern and spacious for a budget level place , but maybe some floors haven’t been renovated yet. I was in the third floor and it was fine. Would certainly stay again particularly if the price differential with the competition stays similar to what I experienced. "
