"Positives:
*Contactless property; the owner Mark was very nice & respectfully answered my questions via text regarding parking.
*Check-in process very well-organised w/ clear instructions for key access/code etc.
*Electric block-out blind helped w/ privacy, noise & light in the mornings.
*Bathroom sink & vanity: Somewhat clean w/ good bench space.
Negatives:
*Really unfortunate to report the negative aspects of this property as Mark was so polite & helpful (as per above).
*Generally, a very uncomfortable stay.
*Guest house hasn’t been well-maintained; old house needs attending to.
*When it rained, the front porch almost flooded w/ rain coming down the gutters.
*Needs to be routinely fumigated & then surface-sprayed frequently. Had to deal w/ two cockroaches during my 2-day stay!
*Only two parking spots on the property & street parking not timed ONLY during the weekend.
*Smell upon arrival & during my stay was a mix of mould, air freshener & chlorine.
*Room was nothing like the photo on Expedia. It hadn’t been cleaned / vacuumed at all well so I had to place my luggage on the bed & slept on one side of the mattress.
*Mattress was old & so soft, felt like quick sand; it was really difficult to actually get out of it, nearly strained my wrist extensor / flexor muscles! During sleep,felt like I was sinking!
*Furniture very old, second hand & dirty & not at all functional or computer-user friendly.
*The fridge appeared clean on the outside but was mouldy on the inside.
