"Brilliantly clean room, nice and spacious. Lovely friendly staff. Modern bathrooms. Relaxed atmosphere and very peaceful. The town is really nice with lots of history. Stayed there to attend a wedding at the local Cornhill Castle which is literally just 10 minutes by cab. The Kirkstyle was so convenient. Breakfast was so generous in its portions and superbly cooked. "

"Had a lovely overnight stay here. I arrived early as I was attending a wedding and was able to access my room no problem to get ready. Room has recently been re-furbished and is beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is good too. I would have no hesitation in returning."

"Very friendly staff, good food, well decorated. The hotel is used as a wedding venue ( every time i have stayed here there has been a wedding on) but do not let stop you staying, as all the rooms are well insulated from the celebrations and are in the function rooms. Thourally reccomended."

"Just stayed one night on the way to Edinburgh and it was great! Our room (in the old school house behind the pub) was small but had everything we needed including a very comfortable bed. We had dinner in the pub and the food was fantastic (and great "desert cocktail" too!) Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Excellent stop off!"

"This was a beautiful hotel! It is a historic building so it has it’s quirks but it was neat to stay here! The staff was friendly and this one included the free breakfast. The only thing I would caution is the room was a long way through a maze of stairs and corridors so if you brought múltiple suitcases and have a car then plan ahead and only take what you will need and be wearing the next day in your smaller case otherwise this place was fantastic! I think they may have offered to help with the bags - if you have all your bags, take them up on that! This one is also the only one we stayed at on our two week trip where parking wasn’t a challenge - they have a large lot! "
