Sabrina and Claudia are consummate hosts and understand what constitutes a high-end experience! The accommodation was spotlessly clean, the shower powerful and the rooms spacious with every comfort needed. Staying at the Giuggiulena Villa was the perfect start to our holiday, we were made to feel at home immediately! Claudia and Sabrina prepared dinner for us for the three evenings we stayed and the food was superb! We highly recommend this B & B and won’t hesitate to stay with them again when we are next in the area!

Amazing, You have to stay here!

Claudia and Sabrina are amazing! This place is clean, quiet, comfortable and has the most beautiful views. The rooms are modern and spacious. And the hotel is close to most of the sightseeing. They are so kind and welcoming, we arrived around lunch time and they made us lunch and informed us of what to go see. I have traveled to many places before and this is one of my favorite hotels.

Fantastic hotel with great facilities and very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very tasty (and lovely to eat on the terrace overlooking the sea). Beautiful big room with a balcony right above the sea. A lovely calm atmosphere about the whole place. It was great to be able to go downstairs for a swim with islands to sit on just at the back of the hotel. The upper floor where the loungers were was perfect and a very relaxing place to sit after exploring busy Ortigia. Sabrina also let us make use of all the facilities - and arranged for a boat to come and collect us directly from the hotel for a tour of the island - on our last day when we had a late flight. Ortigia ia a short walk from the hotel (about 15-20 minutes) and we had already seen most places on foot but the boat trip gave a different viewpoint so well worth doing. The Greek Theatre is a short walk away and so we managed to book a Greek play which was amazing. Would wholeheartedly recommend the hotel for a fabulous stay in Syracuse.

After a busy 10 days sight-seeing around Sicily, we found ourselves in this oasis that is Guigguilena. The greeting from Sabrina was warm and personal. The balcony of our spacious room was almost overhanging the ocean. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. One evening Claudia made us a typical and very tasty Sicilian dinner. The centre of Ortigia is an easy 25 minute walk away. What more could one want?

This property is located at the edge of the sea. It is a very special location. Sabrina is a wonderful host; she is friendly, warm and generous. I felt like a guest in her beautifully appointed home. The breakfast preparation was beautiful and I observed many guests (including myself) taking photos of the sumptuous display. We went swimming in the sea and sat on the balcony watching the waves wash over the rocks. It’s a stunning setting. I was sad to leave and hope to have the opportunity to visit again.

Claudia was amazing! Her place is such a great location in Siracusa/Ortigia. It’s literally right on top of the Mediterranean Sea! I woke up each morning to a beautiful sunrise and crashing waves. Where to start? Use her parking if available. It can be a nightmare to park and not get your car dented. Trust me! It’s worth the charge! Park your car and just walk everywhere. Eat great food and burn it off! Haha. She provides a great breakfast with a surprisingly variety. The room was excellent and the bed comfy. Darkening shades were great to sleep in a bit. Listen to her recommendations. They are excellent! See the city in two days. Spend your third day visiting the Roman temples. Worth the drive! Then head on to your next destination. I could not have been happier with choosing her place! It has history and has an amazing view! Book it, if you’re lucky enough to have it available! ❤️🇮🇹😊

Unforgettable moments with amazing hosts

Most hotels are a means to an end when visiting a place on vacation, but Giuggiulena became a big part of an unforgettable experience. Truly the boutique hotel of your dreams, the beauty of the interior was matched by the views of the Mediterranean from every window, in our room and in the common areas. You wake up to the sound of the waves and a view of endless expanse of blue, and you have breakfast right by the cliffs overlooking the sea. Apropos: the food is home made and incredibly delicious. At Easter, we had a choice of three fresh cakes, aside from the cheeses, olives, marmalades, breads, fruit, yogurt etc. etc. and coffee made to order. If you want to take a break from the vibrant pace of Ortigia, you can find calm and happiness on the sundeck of the hotel, which has a little self- serve bar, too, and more endless views of the sea. You can take a dip into the sea straight from the hotel. All of this enjoyment is made possible by Signore Elisa and Claudia, the owners of Giuggiulena, who are some of the nicest people we have met on our travels. They are kind and helpful and have wonderful personalities. They designed each room with the needs not only of male, but of female hotel guests. Ladies, no need to waste vacation time to buy body lotion or conditioner or paper tissues, because they never returned to hotels after the pandemic, or do your make up in some corner of a room. We lacked nothing during our stay. We already look forward to returning!

Best stay ever!

Excellent location. The decor was lovely. It was a clean and lovely Zen feeling. Nothing overdone, yet the right amount of comfort. The ambience was beautiful. It’s away from the crowds and the hustle and bustle of Ortigya and Siracusa and it made everything worth it. Sisters Sabrina and Claudia, who run the place were very warm and helpful. A very welcoming place!

A true gem in Syracuse

Sisters Claudia and Sabrina and their attentive staff were excellent. The rooms had amazing views, the swimming off the rocks was into pristine waters, and the rooms were comfortable and stylish. What made us change plans and stay two more days was the friendly staff and the sumptuous, homemade breakfasts with savory and sweet delicacies made by Claudia. I am a swimmer and went down the coast a half kilometer or so and felt safe. The Ionian Sea was crystal clear and stunning. We attended “Medea” in the ancient theater and it was great too. An all around wonderful time!

Wonderful place where you will wake up everyday to a glorious sunrise over the sea lapping below you, and a gorgeous breakfast on the terrace. Team at Giuggiulena are friendly, calm and very happy to help you have a wonderful visit to Sicily. Property is simple but has all you need and nice extras like beautifully fragranced rooms and toiletries. While it is a ~20 mins walk to main tourist spot, I recommend staying here because you get the location right on the sea and is less congested. There are many taxi companies that use WhatsApp if you need lifts but the walk is easy and safe from our experience doing it many times day and night. Enjoy.

Fantastisk plass med hyggelig og vennlige vertinner- spesielt Sabrine. Noe pågående arbeid og restuarering som lengste laget.skjemmer noe, Gangavstand til Ortegia ca 20 min- noe i lengste laget- Flott bademulighet ved klippene og frokoste ved sjøen.
