"A very well-appointed property which catered very well for our extended family of 9, ages ranging from 1 to 75. There was ample space for us not to be under each others' feet and enough bathrooms for each family (and a teenage granddaughter!). The outdoor facilities were excellent including the summer kitchen/ barbecue area, the variety of games equipment and (especially) the fabulous swimming pool.There is ample shade around the property for those extremely hot southern French days.Access to the mountains is very easy and they can be seen clearly from the surrounding area.The hosts, Mary-Jo and John are excellent and helpful without being intrusive.As a very rural area car is, of course essential, and shops are a 1- - 15 minute drive away; the baker in St Marcet is, however, worth the morning drive for excellent bread and pastries!.We strongly recommend Chateau Floran"

"Pre hospital visit. Receptionist excellent, but air con didn’t work, but she managed to apply a fix. Bag of food waste outside our ground floor window prevented us from having the window open."

"My adult family and I stayed for four wonderful nights in this charming beautifully situated cottage. The Campan Valley is a piece of Heaven on earth, the cottage itself had everything you could possibly want for a family stay and we cooked most of our meals there and played board games in the evening. We met Jean Michel on the evening of our arrival and he had baked a lovely cake to welcome us. We had several outings and hikes in the beautiful surrounding countryside and the sight of the mountains in the morning and the beautiful birdsong is a balm to the soul. There was even a blackbird nesting under the eaves of the cottage with a nest of little ones. We hope to return to this beautiful house and I want to thank our hosts Chantal and 'Mick' for a holiday we will always treasure. Mary Pooley and family. "

"The hotel is located on a side road in a modest size village. Very little traffic passes so it's not likely to attract passing trade but does mean it's very quiet with no vehicle noise in the rooms. The staff speak good English so communication isn't a problem. The room has a balcony with views of the mountains in the distance. Breakfast costs extra but is of high quality. The only issue is the soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty but the shower gel provided an alternative."
