"The property was in an excellent location, close to shops but also very close to the Cloud Forest. The property was adequately equipped for home cooking and it had a lovely patio where we could watch the monkeys that would come by occasionally."

"Vista Vivace was a perfect place to stay in the Central Valley! The owners, Nancy and Andy, are lovely, generous people and welcomed us to to their home. The one bedroom was perfect for a couple with the living space above the bedroom. The full wall of windows plus an outdoor patio allowed full enjoyment of the view and sunset. "Amazing place to stay in Monteverde! Very comfortable rooms and our porch had a view into a wooded spot where several different birds greeted us everyday. The walking trail on the property is a great place to see additional birds. We saw motmots, trogons, and several different kinds of hummingbirds. The breakfast is also excellent and filling to start your day. They also offer complimentary coffee in the afternoon. Emmanuel was a great host and help us change a booking for us. I highly recommend Cala Lodge!"

"Hotel Belmar was magnificent! Everything about it was pristine. The service was so friendly. Staff were so genuinely kind, helpful, & welcoming. They upgraded our room & the view from the balcony was gorgeous. I really cant say enough great things about this place. We ate at the restaurants & everything was delicious. Location was perfect to the cloud forest reserve. "

"This was our favorite stay during our two week road trip to Costa Rica. The resort is a quick drive into town while still being removed enough to feel immersive and peaceful. We saw so many birds without even leaving the property and enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and friends by the breakfast porch area. The food and drinks we had at the resort’s restaurant were fantastic and even as vegetarians we had a nice variety of options to choose from. The room was spacious and clean, and we also enjoyed walking the trails around the resort. This would be our top place to stay again if/when we return!"
