"We had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. We will stay here again when we visit Kyoto. "

"I loved everything about the Moksa Hotel! The accommodation is a bit out of the way, but still easy to reach by subway and bus. The hotel is located at the foot of a mountain with a forest and a river, and is very quiet! The staff was great, the rooms were stunningly beautiful, and the spa, which you could book as an additional option, was a dream. The garden is definitely the highlight. Drinks at the bar and in the room are free. If you don't want to book dinner, you can also order delivery....

"The guesthouse is quite nice, the dorm I stayed in is just 4 bunks, which is a good thing when staying is guesthouses. The showers were very clean for a shared situations. The location is in a charming district near Kyoto university. It can get a little loud at night with the university students drinking in the area, but that wasn’t really a problem if you have earplugs. "An exceptional stay from start to finish. Gracious hospitality, a true time capsule with updates in all the right places. The japanese breakfast every day was truly memorable, and the coffee shop on the property was beautiful as well. I could not recommend more, 10/10 stay, worth the price! We stayed in the private cabin and it was perfect. "

"The stay here was wonderful in every way! The concierge helped us tremendously when it came to booking a nail appointment & helping us get a taxi to head to the station with all of our luggage. The shuttle bus was a huge help, especially when we had already walked all day, and they have the best breakfast buffet we’ve ever had! Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Kyoto area. "

"Lovely hotel, great location for markets, night life with easy transport options near by if you don't want to walk too far. Rooms are small as expected however well appointed. Fresh towels, water and tea coffee matcha delivered to room daily. Rooms cleaned/serviced every 2nd day. The shared bath onsen was great. Would definitely recommend staying here. "
