Lovely inn in Takayama. The room was spotless, spacious and comfortable. We really enjoyed the family onsen, especially the outside part. Having a restaurant onsite was perfect after a long day of walking. Staff were very friendly.
Situated in the hills above Takayama with stunning views of snow capped peaks, this place is a hidden gem. Only 10 minutes by bus 30 minutes on foot (I know because I walked it a few times)from Takayama station. The bus conveniently drops you off right across from the Hida Folk Village. After a long day of sightseeing, you can walk down the hill and bathe in your own private spa. Then feast on some of the local fare in the restaurant on the premises. The lady that runs this property is super nice and was very patient with me and my beginner Japanese skills. Don't pass this place up!
The staff are very nice and helpful. Very attentive! There’s a restaurant inside the Inn and also a free private onsen. We had a great experience. Also, nearby attractions can be done by walking. Maps and guides are also provided by the staff.
Can book 45-minute private onsen every day. Hotel restaurant reasonably priced. Hida folk village 8mins away on foot. Bus stop to main station 4mins away on foot with bus ride to station about 10mins. Friendly staff.
The hotel was beautiful, the free private furo was clean and quiet. But more than anything, the staff were very generous and helpful; we couldn’t find a taxi, and the kind woman at the front desk didn’t hesitate to take us with her own private car! It was shocking and heartwarming. We wanted to pay her but she refused to take any money. Just a kind beautiful soul and a beautiful place. Thank you!
No bath in the room, however that was more than made up by the spacious onsen (bathing area) on the main floor which could be booked for 45 minutes at a time.
The couple who own this inn are incredibly sweet and hospitable. I also had one of the most delicious bites of food I've ever had in my life - order the hida beef skewer with the rice and pickles. Also private onsen was the perfect thing after lots of walking in the cold.
Overall is good, free parking in front of the hotel. There are three bath room and two hot spring inside the bathroom, the environment is even bette me than the photo in hotel.com. Can play firework in front of the hotel.
Tatame style beds. Its a common area where you would fix your beds.
Well maintained property. It has a sink and a toilet nut not a shower. Instead it includes onsen which it was fantastic. Just remember to reserve the time.
The front office lady spoke basic English but was very helpful and explained everything we needed.
Overall it was very good
