We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts and we loved seeing their beautiful farm and meeting two of their highland cows. "This place was such a joy to stay in. The property is surrounded by a stunning garden. The house itself is beautifully designed and well thought-out. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and stay in. The indoor fire was such a highlight, both nights we spent lighting the fire and enjoying the space. The hosts were very thoughtful to leave wine, chocolates and many guides to know the area further. We really enjoyed our stay. "

"Our two night stay at Old Oak Tree Cottage Rydal was so relaxing from start to finish. Lisa the owner was a pleasure to deal with and made sure everything was perfect for us. The cottage has a warm feeling and is decorated beautifully and has everything you would need. For me the big bonus is the yard. It is huge with well established trees and so many areas with seating for you to sit and relax. It is hard to do anything but relax from the moment you arrive. We are planning to come back...
