"Accommodation booked through Expedia when hotel was closed and remains closed , borders are closed and several months later I still don’t have my refund . I am still awaiting my refund from hotel and Expedia . Refund should have been instant as soon as they learned hotel was not even open ? Shame on you Expedia !"

"The rooms are really dirty, the bathrooms are pretty disgusting and our bed sheets had mold on them. I felt really bad for the workers who were there when we checked in but we ended up having to leave because the conditions of the room were just really awful and the owners seem very aware of it. "

"Lovely villa in very quiet area of Ubud. If you were looking for a secluded place to get away from every day hustles, this is the place to be!! The wifi connection was decent. The location was very inconvenient if you want to explore central Ubud and only one dining option available within the resort. Some of property features were "overkilled" I thought, like outdoor shower, toilet and living area. Certainly they did add "charm" but when raining, practicality and inconvenience took over. But...

"Spent 5 nights at The White Villas with our 2.5year old. The villa itself is a little dated, but it definitely adds to the rustic charm. There are quite a few insects (geckos especially), but you get used to it after a while - besides, you are in Ubud, of course there will be insects everywhere. "We had a phenomenal stay at the Royal Kamuela Villas & Suites! We got the villa with the private pool, and it perfect to come back to after a long day, or to just stay in the room and relax. There is also a very tasty breakfast included, and room service is extremely easy if you don’t feel like going anywhere. I highly recommend using them for airport transfers, we were greeted with water and a cold towel which was perfect after we got into DPS at 2am. The staff is so kind and attentive; they always asked us how our day was and made sure we promptly got anything we needed. They even reached out before we arrived to help us schedule activities and spa treatments! Location wise the hotel is a bit hidden, but off a busy and touristy area in Ubud. We were able to easily walk to both the Ubud Palace and the Campuhan Ridge Walk. There are a lot of restaurants and shops nearby to visit as well. It’s also a prime spot for any tours that you may book. Thank you to the Royal Kamuela team for such an amazing experience in Bali! "
