"The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The views from the back of the property are most incredible, leaving the front of the hotel very non-descript. The prepared dinners were great, especially for those of us who did not want to head back down into Pinhao. The breakfast was wonderful, although they lacked eggs. "Very friendly staff, my wife has mobility issues and we were allowed to park in the area for easy walking. The building itself was modern with awesome views. Very nice sitting area, pool for those who choose to swim. Large sunning area, breakfast was pretty good. The drive in from main road is an old track, slow going and tight."

"This is an old house, with some interesting history & furnishings. It is not a hotel, it’s a B&B, with 3-4 bedrooms and the owners live upstairs. The ( ensuite) bathrooms are very dated. "Spectacular B&B! The suite apartment was stunning, large and comfortable. Sparkling clean and also so beautifully decorated! The balcony has a beautiful view. The common areas are also amazing for hanging by the pool or grabbing a drink. The service was also incredible! Breakfast was delicious and very complete with lots of local charm. "

A lovely experience in the Douro Valley
"We had an amazing two-night stay. Maria and the staff go above and beyond to share restaurant recommendations and insights on the region. The room was comfortable and the pool a nice treat. There are wineries within walking distance and Pinhao is a short drive away. We highly recommend staying at Casa do Santo because it provides an authentic Douro experience that can't be matched."
