"The place was many kilometers with switchbacks, away from Resende, a shack with an open green front door. We could not even scale the driveway. The tires on car kept spinning. "We loved staying at this home! The location is perfect, tucked away in a vineyard. 3 bedrooms and 2 baths accommodated our group perfectly. Check in was difficult. We were not able to arrive in the 2 hr window that the host was there. They left the keys in the lock, but we didnt have parking information and couldnt reach the host via phone or VRBO. A lovely experience in the Douro Valley
"We had an amazing two-night stay. Maria and the staff go above and beyond to share restaurant recommendations and insights on the region. The room was comfortable and the pool a nice treat. There are wineries within walking distance and Pinhao is a short drive away. We highly recommend staying at Casa do Santo because it provides an authentic Douro experience that can't be matched."
