Tartu is very sleepy in the summer with most of the students gone, but pretty and pleasant, with lots to do. Well worth a visit!
A tiny cozy little university town. Though not having much 'medieval' tourist attractions, still worth visiting for warm atmosphere, walk-friendly and cycle-friendly historical city center, a plenty of green zones, nice cafeterias and restaurants.
A beautiful city, sophisticated, alive, young, and politically active. We enjoyed the culture very much.
