"This villa was hands down the best accommodation of our entire Japan trip. If you are traveling the Shimanami Kaido, do yourself a favor and book this absolute perfection of a stay. Here is why it stands out: • Phenomenal island views: The landscape from the property is stunning, and you can take a bath while soaking in the incredible scenery. • Fully stocked kitchen: The amazing kitchen comes completely equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. • Premium convenience: They provide breakfast supplies that were exactly what we needed, plus wine and champagne available on-site for purchase. • Ultimate tranquility: Every single detail was thoughtfully designed for a peaceful, flawless stay. • Pro-tip on location: Keep in mind that shops are not right next door—it is about a 20-minute bike ride to get to them, so plan accordingly. Our only massive regret was staying for just a single night. We wished we had booked it for a few days to fully soak it all in. Do not make our mistake—stay longer!"

"5 stars is nowhere NEAR enough for this one of a kind stay. Dani is extremely accommodating and very communicative. She will arrange for taxi pick up if you get here by bus, or boat. The home itself has so much history and these wonderful little notes about the renovation process. Dani also was very good at explaining how everything in the house worked from appliances to water heating. We played Famicom for hours it was just too fun. If you are a foreigner who is intimidated by venturing away from Tokyo, definitely consider the Benton Guest house so you can feel taken care of but also experience a night or two in a timecapsule in the Japan country side on a GORGEOUS island btwOh also play with the record player they got some nice vibey music that was really relaxing to cook to"
