"Highly recommend! Excellent location with view of town center and walking distance to shopping, restaurants and major attractions. Suite contains partial kitchen with two separate bedrooms. Knowledgeable staff spent hours helping me trace the location of my Irish ancestors and connected me to transportation staff to visit them. More than a room an experience!"

"We ( two families with 2 children under 6 each) stayed here for a long weekend. We loved the proximity to the beach, to the view as well as cows and sheep, and access to the beach bar which was excellent. The house though plenty large enough for us, was very open, which meant sounds travelled ( babies crying either early in the morning or late at night). It was cozy and had all that we needed. Host was so lovely and helpful, easy to reach if we needed anything."

"Beautiful, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped house in a rural location. Our group of 8 had plenty of space & options for sleeping. We were lucky to have great weather during our stay so took full advantage of the outside patio area. The scenery is out of this world. Bedrooms were lovely and comfy, the kitchen and big dining room perfect for a group to cook at home. A short drive into Donegal Town was a small surprise based on the description of the property where it states walking distances...

"The Sligo Sea Barn exceeded our expectations with its spacious, picturesque and accommodating location. It was perfect for our large group gathering with its beautiful newly renovated home. "A great base to take trips out from. The house was perfect for our family. We cook a lot and there was everything we needed to prepare home cooked food for our family. We all settled in very easily with very clear instructions from the owner. The town is very quaint with lots of walks locally and a bit further afield. "My sisters, niece and I had the best time at Theresa’s home. Upon arrival, she welcomed us with wine and candy. She was very helpful about the area and had lots of suggestions on places to go and things to see. Her home was so homey and comfortable. We felt very welcome. Wherever we went, people spoke very highly of Theresa and her home. I would recommend this home to anyone and can’t wait to return soon."

"After a couple of weeks seeing the UK and Ireland with 9 of our kids and grandkids, we wanted a few days to rest. We loved being in the Sligo area and dining at the nearby Beach Bar. Downpatrick Head was great to see & we even drove to the Giant’s Causeway while we were in the area. Sheila’s house was a nice place to rest and relax. We loved attending church in nearby Screen. A great ending to a great trip!"

"Patrick is a fantastic host. he was so accommodating. He even facilitated our early check-in as well. Clear instructions were provided to the home, use of utilities, the management of the bins and everything else. The house was in a mint condition. "Stayed here over the Easter long weekend, at very late notice (booked on Friday night for Saturday arrival). The owner had left easter eggs for my three sons which was a lovely touch. The house itself is beautiful; it looks to be only recently built so I would say we were one of the first groups to rent it. It had everything we needed and was only a couple of minutes walk from the beach. I would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back here again in the future."

"The stay was wonderful and perfect for our family. Our host, Chris, was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions or problems. However, our dealings with VRBO has been a nightmare when it came to payments and confirmation of our stay. At this point I have been charged with 3 payments instead of 2 totaling 500 euro more than the fee for the property. I have made numerous bookings with VRBO but this one will be my last."

"What an amazing place - a true hidden gem! The yurts are spaced out (cery private), warm (burners installed), very comfortable, tastefully decorated with come with stunning views. The communual area is large, has all you could need and offers the perfect setting for disconnect and relaxation. The bathroom and shower rooms are immaculate and the staff and owners really friendly and accommodating. Really highly recommend booking - you will not be disappointed! "
