The Kingsgate is located a short walk from the town centre, on the lake front. It has a restaurant attached for breakfast / dinner. Staff were very friendly. The room itself was a bit dated, especially the bathroom could do with an update, but the bed was very comfortable.

The service from the staff was excellent, very friendly and efficient. Just a slight issue with the room cleaning, carpet not vacuumed and toilet wasn't cleaned with bleach,otherwise the hotel was superb.!!!!.

Lovely Lakefront view

The hotel is in a very good position, right on the Lakefront, as the name implies. The view from the restaurant at breakfast was stunning. There is enough parking, but due to the narrowness of the parking spaces, we couldn't fit our car in easily between two other vehicles, so had to find how to get to the back, where the entrance was not really obvious.

Nice size rooms

Not much of a veiw looking out onto the car park, but nice size room. Short walk into town, but hard to find a restaurant, so had to make do with fish and chips. A lot of the restaurants seemed to be closed.

The location is very convenient & an easy walk into the town center. Staff were very good & helpful. The property does show ALOT of wear & needs some attention. Room cleanliness just Ok. Should be more detailed.

The door to the room didn't shut properly. Attended to at the time with some improvement. By day 2 the door didn't shut properly again. On check out the person on reception was dismissive. The door to the bathroom had hinges that needed attention. Again, staff member was dismissive.
