"Rooms was clean and very spacious, bed very comfy. Breakfast was good. There were a couple weird things. We had a pull out soda room and reserved for 4 people but still had to ask for bed linens. They brought them, but I feel like they should’ve already just been in the bedroom. Also, the attendant at breakfast would be gone for a long periods of time and so it was difficult to get things refilled as they ran out."

"This place is an idyllic lakefront getaway! The house is not only beautifully designed, spotless and incredibly comfortable, but the layout is made for entertainment, relaxation, and enjoyment of conversations and great food. It was perfect for our sibling reunion of 8. Bedrooms and bathrooms are luxurious, private, and quiet, and there are plenty of them. The absolute highlight of our stay was sitting by the water and watching the most spectacular sunsets every evening. We highly recommend this property and can’t wait to come back!"

"The Firefly of Dawson TX is the cutest little studio apartment guest house. The owners are very accommodating and want to make sure their guests have everything they need.There are a few yard chickens that wander around adding charm and farmhouse character. The front porch runs the length of the building.and has a nice outdoor sitting area that is the perfect spot to sit and sip your coffee, cocoa, or tea in the mornings while the sun comes up. And to look for fireflies after dark!Inside,The Firefly is decorated as cute as can be, with attention to detail, functionality, and comfort. The bed was so comfortable with super soft sheets & pillowcases. The cover was so soft and the perfect weight. There were four pillows of different thickness and firmness, making it over the top incredible to choose our favorite types.The bath towels were luxurious, large, soft and absorbent, I absolutely loved the chic shower curtain. I want one just like it for my bathroom!The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cookware, and utensils, as well as a coffee maker that could brew coffee using k-cups (with a nice sampling of varieties) or regular brewed coffee (with pre-ground,, pre-measured packets provided,)We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were able to relax and unwind a bit even though we were in town for a sad occasion—to say goodbye to a dear family member who passed away. We hope to come back for another stay when the weather is cooler and the occasion happier."

"My family and I really enjoyed our weekend at the cabin. The ramp and walk in shower was A for my family members with mobility issues and we slept soundly in the comfortable beds."
