"We loved this property but recognize the steep walk up and 55 steps down to our room might not be for everyone. It was just fine for us because the only noise was the sound of waves against the rocks below our room. Also, communication was excellent for us due to problems with Expedia but our hostess patient and helpful. The rooftop patio was lovely with great views of the harbour. The apartment was spacious with very comfortable furniture. "

"very peaceful nice view the staff very polite thier food is very good for the money is good"

Corrales Bay Resort

10/10 Excellent

"This place is AMAZING!!! Corrales Bay Resort exceeded our expectations. The views are unreal, the rooms are beautiful. The food was authentic and delicious. We snorkeled right off the dock and saw so many species of fish, the water was very clear. There are great hikes around the resort. I would definitely recommend hiking to the lighthouse. The sandy beaches were great. We rented 4 wheelers and explored other local towns and beaches. We also paddle boarded, kayaked, fished, and rented jet skis. We had everything we needed at our fingertips. The staff was incredible. The boat ride to and from the resort was a fun experience. Highly recommend 12 out of 10. We will definitely be back."

Penthouse in Yelapa, Brand New and Luxurious Casa, Sleeps 8 very comfortably

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful stay in Yelapa and truly loved our time at this vacation rental. It was very comfortable for our family of five and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our trip. The location was perfect — centrally located and convenient for accessing markets, restaurants, and everything around town. The views were absolutely stunning, with beautiful scenery of both the jungle and the ocean. We especially appreciated the accordion doors and windows that opened up the space and let in the refreshing ocean breeze. The air conditioning in the bedrooms also made sleeping much more comfortable after warm days exploring. The kitchen was very well equipped with dishes, cooking tools, and even basic spices, which made preparing meals easy. Our family also enjoyed the family-friendly games that were available — such a thoughtful touch. The hosts were fantastic and always just a message away. They responded quickly whenever we had questions or needed anything.Overall, we made many wonderful family memories here and are so grateful for our experience in Yelapa. We hope to visit again soon!"

Ocean & Whale Views from a Private Terrace at the Point in Yelapa

10/10 Excellent

"This was truly one of the best rentals we have ever stayed in! The views were amazing (pictures don't do them justice), the beds were very comfortable, the amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms were just what we needed. The service here was top notch! We had groceries waiting, help carrying some of our heavy luggage, a boat with great captains to go fishing (minimal fee)and dinner and breakfast made for us (along with having the cleanup done for us-minimal fee). The hike up the hill is something to be aware of but take your time and enjoy the beautiful jungle and it is no issue. I am so thankful Steve shared this beautiful place with us and we were so thankful for the host family and how accommodating they all were. On top of the beautiful location, Yalapa was heavenly! The beaches, the food, the cute cobble stone walk ways and above all the wonderful people. We loved our stay and hope to be back soon!"

CASAS LAS PAROTAS - 3 BR, 2 Bath home, on hillside overlooking Yelapa Bay

10/10 Excellent

"Casas Las Parotas is a beautiful two story getaway place hidden in the jungle and a short walk away from two wonderful beaches. Our host was friendly, cooperative and quite accommodating. I highly recommend this Yelapa find!"

Casa Palmas, Yelapa

10/10 Excellent

"Casa Palmas, James, and his crew in Yelapa are all first rate! The care and communication we received was prompt, clear, and courteous. It helps to have a Spanish speaker in your group but it is not essential. James translated everything we could not communicate ourselves to Filipe. The home is perfectly situated and very thoughtfully laid out to accommodate up to 8 people. We were just 4 but never felt like it was too much house. The A/C was excellent and indispensable for getting a good nights rest. The beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms clean and private. The bedrooms could do with some blackout shades and for light sleepers I would recommend earplugs. The kitchen is well equipped and we found all the groceries we needed just around the corner.I don't want to say anything that would put someone off of going to Yelapa because there is so much to love about it, but it's probably fair to say it is not for the person needing a pristine, curated tourist experience. Rather, it is a place a seasoned traveler will find great local food, many friendly folks and some who are clearly weary of serving tourists. That said, the pace can be what you want it to be. Mornings at Casa Palmas we sat on the deck overlooking the harbor watching it come to life while drinking coffee. Frigate birds, pelicans, doves, parrots, and hawks all added to the sights and sounds right in front of us with the ocean in the distance and the cove at our feet. Swim, hike, paddle or lounge. Enjoy!"
