"This is a beautiful new hotel with lovely facilities in a stunning wine estate which is let down by a lack of staff training and the lack of a dedicated concierge. For example:
1) Dinner in the Western restaurant. Our 3 main courses and a side arrived over an hour apart from first to last.
2) When we asked at the front desk for a recommendation for a wine estate to visit/tour (not an unusual question for a hotel in the wine area) we were met with blank stares and the information that the wine sommelier (?) was on his day off and there was no information they could give us. This should have been information that front desk staff were trained on providing.
However, we enjoyed the rooftop pool, the rooms and the library bar - all of which were lovely.
We would also recommend it is considered making some of the areas child free at certain times e.g. the library bar during the evening."
