Well-Worn & Disrepair
We are repeat renters at Mountain Lodge, but this unit is in desperate need of repairs and updating. A few examples… >The dishwasher was not working (a frustration when 4 adults are eating 2 meals a day in the unit, and no sponge/scrub brush was provided), >the couch in the living room had a rip along the seam, >the lampshades in the primary bedroom had multiple holes punctured in them, > the sink in the primary bathroom would drain so slowly, that the basin would fill with water while brushing your teeth, then leave yuck behind, >the temperature control handle in the primary shower was falling off. I felt like we were spending our vacation in a dumpy Days Inn. I recognize and have come to expect normal wear and tear, (especially in ski properties) but some of this is excessive, especially considering the premium seasonal nightly price. I did not bring this to the attention of anyone at Mountain Lodge or Vacasa, because I did not want to spend my ski vacation time waiting for someone to take a look at the dishwasher or sink, and dilapidated furnishings were a moot point. Lastly, the listing noted “private” washer/dryer, but the laundry facilities were shared in the building. Having a washer/dryer listed was one of the key reasons we rented this unit. I believe we will be looking for a different property next year in Mountain Village. Overall, a very disappointing stay.
