"Room was better than described. Latest designer colors, fixtures, water color pictures, night lights in bathroom, bed and furniture comfortable. Refrigerator worked and had a freezer; couldn't fit 3/4L Figi water standing up. I think the base board heat has Celsius thermostats so don't set the temp to 65 in the winter. Fire place has a standard US thermostat, didn't use it. Showering in the whirlpool tub, first day was like standing on a wet marble, my feet kept sliding to the outside edges. My wife said she was fine with it, so I did better the second day. Took six hours to drive there and the sign is set back in the entry so I missed it and had to turn around. Drove in and looked for a office or the 580 address, NOPE. I brought one piece of paperwork, had my phone, called a number, got AI and found another number, then AI put us in a loop, Then asked for operator, rep. adv. person hit the 0 and I got someone. Oh, then found out I was supposed to do some other stuff. Check your text messages, there was another thing that sends you to your code and also gives you a room number. found the building, the room typed in the code and the door opened. put our stuff in the room, went to dinner, came back and the code didn't work. Called again and while I was talking to a rep the lady from next door said after you type in the code you have to hit the check mark. I left my glasses in the car and she had hers, so it worked. No problems the next three days."

"Great spot off the beaten path. Didn't encounter anyone else on the lake, and it's big enough for some good paddling. Plus there are so many more nearby. Cabin is cozy and the kitchenette is enough for simple cooking. Great launching point to explore the north shore/Grand Marais/Boundary Waters"
