"The hotel's front desk service was subpar—when we asked for help, we received no response. Every morning at 7 a.m., a large number of resellers would line up outside the hotel’s patisserie (managed by the hotel) to buy up popular items in bulk. By the time the patisserie opened at 9 a.m., all the hot items were already sold out. As a guest staying for five nights, the hotel staff told me that I had to queue along with the resellers and had no priority. When I gave up waiting, I discovered that I could buy the same pastries—at a higher price—just 30 meters away from the hotel, without having to queue. That made me very angry. This is the treatment I received as a guest at a five-star hotel. It saddens me to state the facts. This hotel was the one my husband and I had most wanted to stay at, but this experience was deeply disappointing."

"I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, which boasts a highly convenient location within walking distance to Yong Qing Fang and Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street. The accessibility to these popular attractions made exploring the area effortless and enjoyable. I booked a 2 Twin Beds Premium room, which was impressively spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean—providing a very relaxing environment throughout my stay. The staff were courteous, attentive, and always willing to assist. I would especially like to commend Manager Zhang Fei for his prompt and thoughtful service. He handled an incident efficiently where my daughter’s shirt was stained due to a juice spill at breakfast, caused by an improperly closed cap. His quick action in resolving the matter, including waiving the laundry charges, was greatly appreciated and reflected a high level of professionalism and care. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, comfort, and prime location."

"I am a frequent international traveler. But this inn is probably the worst among accommodations that I stayed in the past 2 decades. First of all, the location was BAD. Trash on the street with random topless old guys chilling and sitting on the block, they didn’t look like homeless but local neighbors who lived in the area. My kid saw a big rat falling off one of the building roofs while we haul or luggages from the Didi dropoff point to the hotel. There were many restaurants and shops on the pedestrian only street (Shangxiajiu) but they were the budget kind. I know Starglazing tried to go for a retro style, advertising for 西關風情. But to me it was not retro it was simply old. I stayed at Manxin in Beijing before, which transformed the traditional courtyard homes (四合院）into a decent boutique hotel, keeping the traditional architecture and vibe. Stargazing is NOT that. There were molds, dirts, rust everywhere in the room. The “beds” were only mattresses that sit directly on the floor, no bed frames. The bathroom is a wet bath meaning there is no curtain between the shower and toilet. So when one person showers, the entire bathroom gets wet, the toilet, the floor, everything gets wet. If you aren’t careful, the toilet paper and your clothes may get wet as well. The only reason you should consider staying at this inn is the price, which is very affordable and it’s close to popular tourist spots like 永慶坊。"

"K Space Hotel is a brand new hotel and comes with amenities. Room is spacious, clean with soft bed and pillows. Breakfast is varied and delicious. Water supply is unlimited. The hotel is conveniently located along Beijing Road. Easy for shopping and foodies. Few minutes walk to the metro, easy access to tourist attractions. Really like this hotel. Will definitely stay here in my future Guangzhou trips."

"First room we were given was weird shape. Advised front desk immediately we wanted room change. This was completed mid day next morning. This room was exactly what we expected. We were staying for month, so needed good room. Close to everything! Shops, Beijing road, underground. Safe in room, but as this was 'free standing' seemed pointless to use, but as is usual in China camera's everywhere so security not really an issue. Without room change, and weird safe I would give this place a big 5 *. Highly recommended. "
