"This hotel is well located. The rooms are well presented and it is a nice touch to have different pillows available. Staff are generally helpful - we had a maintenance request on our first morning and it was dealt with pretty promptly.
Whilst it is nice to have a very simple breakfast it seems cost cutting in the extreme not to offer plates - seeing seasoned guests carrying their personal plates to breakfast was most definitely an unexpected first. If like me, you left your plate at home then just be prepared to balance everything on a napkin.
Like so many hotels these days they seek to charge you more and provide you less in terms of service, almost as if we are still in Covid days - as such, if you want your room to be cleaned then be sure to ask for it, otherwise you'll be in for a surprise when you return at the end of the day to find nothing done. If you're not up for being ripped off and paying $5 for a small bottle of water then just be sure to either drink from the tap or bring your own.
Finally, if you have a pet then be prepared to pay an extra $100. Quite how that can be justified when their sister hotels on the same street charge $75 is beyond me - makes zero sense and would love to know what bright spark came up with that pricing differential.
Overall though a good place to stay and I'd likely stay there again, personal plate in hand, but just take note of the above."
