The property is absolutely beautiful, super cozy, and very clean. The communal kitchen was a huge plus, and the scenery was just beautiful! They offer a limited breakfast and have so much to explore on site. Will happily stay here again!

Great views of mountains around area. Interesting little community of individual units with good size rooms. All have fire pits. Close to Big Bend.
We loved the place! It was so much fun, clean, easily accessible yet perfectly isolated. The views for sunrise & sunsets and the scenery are amazing. I'd definitely stay there again.
This was something a little different. Great place for groups and family times. Close to several tourist destinations and just far enough out to have a feel of solitude.
The bank was a great stay for 1 night. I found everything I needed inside the room. Check in process was easy and smooth. The location was a bit hard to find. I would recommend adding some signs for the main road to make it easier to locate.
Ten Bits is a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it. It is laid out with small buildings which resemble a small town. We stayed at the Bank. The room was super clean and well laid out. There were chairs on the front porch as well as in the back (can view the sun setting/rising which was beautiful). Communication was perfect and directions were spot on. It’s about a 10 minute drive to Teralingua which makes it a nice, quiet place to stay. We would definitely stay again!
We enjoyed our stay at Ten Bits in the Bank! The property is beautiful and they have created a charming little town with a dramatic Big Bend backdrop. The county road was accessible, but be prepared to go slow and get dusty. Communication and check-in was good, accommodations perfectly comfortable. Definitely recommend and would stay here again.
My daughter and family stayed with me at this ranch for one night. Wish we could have stayed a week! The view was fantastic, place was very clean and unique. I really liked their use of solar power. We will come again for sure.
We loved the clean room and great communication from the hosts. We sat on the porch until well after sunset watching the bats as darkness covered Hen Egg Mountain. Our only negative was the loudness of the neighbors’ TV—this room is part of a duplex, and the walls seemed paper-thin. But it was a gorgeous property and prime location for an early entry to Big Bend.
I couldn't give a more glowing assessment of this place, from the natural surroundings, to the sustainable nature, to the very efficient management style. I thought that the rates were fair and I hope they remain accessible, so that I can share this wonderful place with friends and family in the future. Well done. Kudos to whoever conceived and designed this ranch. The western theme is so well put together that one gets the essence of it without ever feeling like it is make believe. It feels real and has everything you need feed and house agroup
Overall Ten Bits is a very good place to stay, very quiet, off the grid, and beautiful surrounding area. The rooms are rustic but more than adequate, as was the Wi-Fi. The cantina refrigerators were less than stellar with quite a bit of what appeared to be old food left by customers. We did not use it but it was readily available. We had a change of plans and had to leave a day early but would stay there again if in the area. The newer units have AC but the unit we stayed in did no have any. Just beware if this if booking in warmer weather.

Adventure time
There's a 2 mile dirt road that leads up to the property. My sedan took a bit of a dive along it and knocked loose some of the bodywork. This was on the way up into the property. Wouldn't recommend it unless you have an SUV or something.
Note: Not all rooms have AC. I originally rebooked for a room that did. There was an ant infestation in the room that room, they were all over one of the beds and nightstand. The shower also only had hot water.
But I was able to get moved to an adjacent room after a couple hours. AC, no bugs, hot and cold water both running. All things considered, pretty good for a place so remote.
View is gorgeous. Decor is cute and makes you feel like you're on a movie set.
We absolutely loved our stay at Ten Bits Ranch. Our kids played cowboys outside every second we were there. They were so sad to leave! The room was comfortable and clean. The beds were particularly comfortable. The ac unit worked very well. We had no issues with off-grid electricity. In fact we heard from another traveler staying in town that they lost power during a thunderstorm one night, but we had no issue since everything was off-grid. I took the short hike up to the Apache caves which was neat. It’s an easy distance to big bend, only about 10 minutes further than Terlingua. It’s perfectly remote for Star gazing. We had one really excellent and clear night. The cantina was very convenient and helpful to grab a quick breakfast and coffee before setting out for the day. Sis was very responsive when I had a couple questions for her. The only downside and reason I gave four stars was that the well water was non-potable, and we did not know that before we arrived. Bottled waters are provided in the room for tooth brushing and such, and there are tons of bottled waters in the cantina which we used to fill our water bottles each day. But it was just a minor inconvenience we weren’t prepared for. We probably would’ve stayed there regardless, but I would’ve preferred knowing that information ahead of time. This was a very minor downside to an otherwise awesome stay! We’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Big Bend and would stay there again!
Pros
off the grid, remote location, well-stocked and well-maintained common cantina/kitchen area for all guests (really enjoyed meeting and visiting with the other guests while at the cantina); great views of the desert mountains, beautiful night sky. Beds were very new and super comfy.
Cons
no cell service (duh, it's remote), several wifi networks but ONLY one provided internet access and had to log on unsuccessfully to the others before finding it and then drop when you walked out of range, possibly due to data usage maxed out by guests streaming video even though we were warned not to. After several hours of running AC the first day, room was still like an oven, air filter was completely clogged, cleaned it and things cooled off. Guest shouldn't have to do maintenance. Nowhere to put your stuff in the room (if you bring more than 1 suitcase like hikers do). Cobwebs everywhere in the room. It's a desert, I get it, but for the love housekeeping should do some house keeping. Shower was disgusting, mildew all over. Towels were white but some were brown-stained, I'm sure washed thoroughly but use some bleach or cycle them out when they get that way. Thin walls and noisy neighbors on the backside of our annex - really sucked (both hearing impaired), they left their porch light on at night which ruined looking at stars unless you wanted to hike away. Couldn't change our door code (0123 is not secure), probably all the same. Honestly minor complaints, but gotta be honest.
