Beautiful Villa with Private Pool and Terraces, Amazing Sea and Mountain Views

Villa Elena is a lovely restored farm house set in the beautiful Cagemi valley overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. The villa is a short drive to the historic town of Caccamo that contains the greatest castle (1160 A.D.) of Sicily and one of the most majestic of Italy. Caccamo has lovely restaurants and friendly locals. The historic city of Palermo and the charming town of Cefalu' are a 30 minute drive. This is a perfect area for artists, walkers and mountain bikers. There are beautiful family beaches nearby for a swim. The villa has four bedrooms, two baths and a pool with wide steps to sit and relax. There is a large terrace, an outdoor barbecue area and kitchen. There is an amazing sea view from every window and terrace. Come and relax and enjoy the land of sunshine - Sicily!

Great value for money
Great value for money but the property is rustic and could benefit from a bit of a tidy up. It is a well equipped property in a good location and we loved the peace and quiet. The pool was fantastic and made the holiday. The town of Caccamo is lovely, with very good restaurants to choose from and very reasonably priced. You need a car to get around and the roads are challenging but the views make it worthwhile. If you would more detail, please let us know! We really had a great time and would come back x

All the description did not match the advertisement of the property. The villa seems to be falling to pieces… Very u safe for small children ie 9 yrs old and 8 years old, there was no barrier to the long fall on the side of the property so we were constantly concerned the kids would fall off… We found the description of meeting the agent incorrect according to our sat nab and we ended up getting lost a driving down a steep to rocky road which was very borrow and curvy and l had a huge panic attack thinking we had to return up it which l refused to do and my son got very angry with me. We negotiated with the agent who was very uninterested so we drove back to the small city and retried it again. Eventually, we found the petrol station and the agent met us there. I had no idea that the villa was up a steep curvy dangerously narrow road and l refused to go down the mountain until I had to leave for the airport. I think for others with small children should stipulate the extreme danger off the unfenced path leading to the swimming pool. I think the agent could have met us at a near petrol station avoiding the guests from getting lost. I would not recommend under no circumstances to anyone going there. I came home full of frightening bad thoughts and memories. And we found the people of that area very bad mannered, and unhelpful. You would think they would be happy to receive revenue from tourism but apparently not.having battled cancer, this was my last holiday 😡

We arrived in Sicily and drove to meet Josephine on time as per contract. Josephine showed us around the apartment. The first thing that we noticed was the damp smell in the kitchen, however, at first we disregarded this on the basis that it may have just needed airing out. Then, we noticed that the fridge was rusty and looked unclean on the inside. We were also told that the food inside was bought for the children, but on speculation, this was probably from a previous guest as there was a beer in there. We also had a demonstration of the cooker, and although we were shown how to put the gas on, the gas didn’t ignite. There was no attempt to try and problem solve this, but just to shrug it off and continue with the tour. At the time, we didn’t think much of this until we tried to get it working ourselves to no avail. Following this, we saw the swimming pool, as the little girl who was with us has been very excited about this. The pool was murky, green and full of debris as shown on the pictures attached to this email. Josephine explained that it had been raining, and that Nick would come round tomorrow (Sunday) to clear it. This

Amazing
After a very difficult arrival due to plane cancellations. We finally arrived and it was wonderful. Nick and his family were so helpful and saved us on a number of occasions due to travel problems. Best to hire a car as it is the only way to get the full beautiful value of the scenery - we struggles as there was 6 of us and no six seater cars available - hence Nick and all his help. Lots of steps so be careful but enjoy every second - memories forever xxx

Very delicate house in the hills
We had a lovely stay on villa Elena. The house i beutiful, well equipped, had a lot of extra towels, nice pool, outstanding view, good outdoor space with several porches. Clean. The host was very friendly and helpful. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is problems with the waterpump on our stay. It didnt work so the waterpressure was almost zero. We also did have problems with the heat converter (AC) in the livingroom. It did not function and since evenings in april are a bit cold we needed heat. We fixed it by using electrical heatingfans, so we managed. But overall; We really could recommand the house for anyone visiting Sicilia. Since the location in close to cities as Coccomo (max 1 km), Palermo, Cefalu, and beaches as well, its a perfect startingpoint for exploring the beutiful island.

Lovely remote scenic villa in the hills of Sicily
The villa was lovely with plenty of outside space with a lovely pool although it was a bit cold.My husband and I enjoyed the wonderful scenic view and the rural setting, the rooms were very comfortable and Kitchen was very well equipped, Anna met us in Caccamo and gave us a substantial welcome pack which was very generous. The location was that it was quite isolated which made just popping to the shops or out for a meal a bit of a mission, the other downside was the dogs that did keep me awake a few times barking although they were in the valley and you do get used to them. Otherwise we had a great holiday and came back very rested.

Absolutely loved staying at this villa. It was our first family villa holiday and it didn’t disappoint. It was beautiful, clean, relaxing with stunning views. Pool was fabulous. Ann, Anna and Piero were very welcoming, responsive, helpful and kind. Caccamo is a 5 minute drive away. I would definitely recommend this villa and I would definitely stay here again.

Shame about the pool
Unfortunately the pool pump was not working and could not be fixed. This was a major disappointment and we were grateful for a reduction in the overall charge to compensate - up to a point. We also felt that at least one of the bedrooms downstairs was unsatisfactory with a noisy water pump in a cupboard off the room, and there was not sufficient clothes storage. This kitchen and barbecue were well-stocked.

- tolles Ferienhaus in den Bergen mit viel Ruhe vom Stadtleben - herliche Sonnenauf- und untergänge - toller Meerblick - Haus hat alle Annehmlichkeiten wie Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine usw. - wunderschöner angelegter Garten mit Pool - Zentrale Lage um viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erreichen - nur wenige Fahrminuten zur Autobahn A19, z.B nach Palermo, Catania oder Richtung nach Messina A20 (Palermo nur ca. 50 min., Cefalu ca. 35 min. Fahrtzeit entfernt) - Caccamo nur 5 Fahrminuten entfernt bietet mehrere Supermärkte und Obst- und Gemüsehändler, auch zwei hervorrgende Ristaurante - auf ein paar kleinigkeiten können wir das Haus nur sehr empfehlen !!

Les ++++ Bel endroit, belles vues, cuisine fonctionnelle, 2 salles de bain, Terrasse et piscine appréciable lors des fortes chaleurs. Nick disponible et sympatique. Les - - - Un peu vétuste, deux chambres sans airco dont une trop petite. La terrasse et la piscine trop vite sales à cause des épines de pins. Piscine non chauffée sans protection pour garder la température. En résumé. Nous avons passé de bonnes vacances malgré les chaleurs exceptionnelles.

Wunderschöner Ausblick
Das Haus ist sehr sauber und die Kommunikation verlief gut. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, es gab Wasser und leckere sizilianische Snacks zur Begrüßung. Der Ausblick ist fantastisch, ein Paar Fahrminuten entfernt befindet sich ein kleines Dorf mit tollen Restaurants. Das Haus und der Aussenbereich bieten sehr viel Platz und es ist sichtgeschützt. Geschmackvolle Einrichtung. Allerdings sollte das Haus so langsam mal dringend renoviert werden. Wasserschäden in der Küche, undichte und verstopfte Dusche, WC Kasten funktioniert nicht richtig, teilweise schimmelige Fugen. Der Pool ist schön groß aber sollte mal sauber gemacht werden, die Poolwände sind sehr dreckig. Sehr negativ haben wir die Situation Nachts empfunden: durchgehend haben viele Hunde gebellt, ohne Pause. Die Fenster sind nur aus Holz und sind geschlossen überhaupt nicht schallisoliert, wir haben sehr schlecht geschlafen. Ab 18 Uhr hat man leider keine Sonne mehr. Am Poolbereich ist erst ab ca. 11:30 Uhr die Sonne. Der fantastische Sonnenaufgang und die Freundlichkeit haben uns aber entschädigt.

mooie plek maar kan beter
2 weken verbleven in sept. 2020. Het huis (met echt een zeer volledige inboedel) is erg mooi gelegen in de heuvels met uitzicht op de vallei en zee en Termini Imerese. Het is leuk trapsgewijs gebouwd in 3 lagen met boven parkeerplaats voor 1 of 2 auto's. Daaronder het zeer ruime en mooie boventerras, de keuken (aparte ingang) en de woonkamer, slaapkamer, badkamer en kleine logeerkamer. Via een buiten natuurtrap met mooie olijf en fruitbomen kom je bij de twee andere slaapkamers, 2e badkamer en het grote terras met zwembad. De bedden zijn smal, boven en beneden links 140 cm breed en beneden rechts 160 cm breed. De gastkamer boven heeft een uitschuifbed. Voor 8 volwassenen niet ideaal. Met kids wellicht beter. Het zwembad is lekker om af te koelen en hele korte baantjes te trekken. (3.00 x 7.5 meter en 1.05 mt diep). Dat we 3 sterren geven komt omdat er achterstallig onderhoud is en oude kapotte spullen niet opgeruimd worden. Kapot zoals de loungebank op het terras bij het zwembad, ligbed met oude troep, een kapotte hangparasol op het boventerras. Het is ook vreemd dat er vuile ligbedmatrassen werden geplaatst terwijl er schonere waren nadat we erom vroegen. Er zijn veel dingen kapot: het stopcontact in de slaapkamer boven, de lades van de witte kast in de slaapkamer links, beide schuifhorren zijn kapot en werken niet meer, de vitrage in de slaapkamer rechts is gescheurd. De parasolvoet op het terras bij het zwembad is lam. De badkamers zijn heel ruim en netje overigens. De beschimmelde kitrandjes zouden wel vervangen kunnen worden. De gasthouders Anna en Piero zijn heel vriendelijk en doen er alles aan om onze verzoeken op te lossen. De WIFI was zo zwak dat je niet op internet kwam en alleen tekstberichtjes kan versturen, Maar na dat gemeld te hebben is er na 2 dagen een grotere antenne geplaatst en was het prima. Verder niet erg als er lekkage is maar de loodgieter moest 3x terugkomen om het te verhelpen. Ook de pech 40 vlooienbeten opgelopen te hebben van een zwerfhond die wel eens langskomt. Maar ook dat werd supersnel opgelost. Verder snachts lang blaffende honden en blijft de zon regelmatig verscholen achter de laag-hangende bewolking om de bergen. Caccamo is mooi maar niet zo veel te beleven. Goed eten bij Il Borgo en Castello. Auto heb je nodig. Leuk zijn Cevalu, Palermo, Agrigento (prachtig strand en Valle dei templi). Prima vakantie verder gehad met flink wat zon. De avonden soms wat fris omdat je hoger zit.

Perfecta!!!
La casa es una maravilla, amplia, cómoda, muy bien equipada, tiene todo lo necesario, zona de barbacoa, de descanso, una estupenda piscina...... Nos ha gustado muchísimo, está bien situada aunque se necesita coche, está muy cerca de Caccamo y Termini donde se puede tomar un tren por ejemplo para conocer Palermo si no quieres sufrir el caos de su tráfico..... Todo perfecto. Pero sobre todo la atención de las personas que nos recibieron, muy muy amables.

Geweldige villa om te vertoeven.
Van 30 april t/m 7 mei hebben wij in deze mooie villa mogen verblijven. Laat in de avond arriveerden wij, we werden hartelijk ontvangen door Anna en Pierrot tevens hadden zij de koelkast alvast voorzien van wat brood, beleg en drinken. De Villa is echt van alle gemakken voorzien. Je komt niets te kort, en je kan het zo gek niet bedenken of het is er wel (extra handdoeken, beddengoed, servies, keukengerei, geen koffiezetapparaat, maar wel Italiaanse koffiezetpot!! heerlijk) etc. De omgeving is erg mooi en uitzicht vanaf de terrassen is ook schitterend. Wij hadden 1 kind van 8 jaar bij ons en dit ging prima mbt de trappetjes etc. (geen kids speelgoed/zwemmateriaal aanwezig) We hebben het kasteel in Caccamo bezocht, wat echt wel een bezoekje waard is. Tevens nog een dagje in Cefalú geweest en zelfs 2 dagen naar Palermo geweest. Een rondrit door Palermo met "het treintje" is echt een aanrader, hierdoor zie je meer van de stad dan je lopend kan bekijken. Tevens heerlijke ijsjes gegeten ;-) We hebben een week lang mogen genieten. Bedankt hiervoor! Groeten Fam van Holsteijn The Netherlands

Geweldige villa
Zelden zoiets moois helemaal voor onszelf gehad, de verschillende terrassen, geweldig uitzicht, vier slaapkamers, de keuken (en buitenkeuken), zwembad. Teveel om op te noemen. Helemaal privé, dat is ook uniek. Caccamo is sfeervol en dichtbij. Erg aardige beheerders!

Een droom villa op een droom locatie
We hebben deze villa uitgekozen vanwege ons 25 jarige huwelijks jubileum. Onze 2 volwassen zonen met partners gingen mee. Het mooie aan deze villa is dat het uit twee verdiepingen bestaat met twee badkamers en toilet. Iedereen had voldoende privacy. Het zwembad was heerlijk verkoelend. Het uitzicht grandioos, er waren 3 terrassen om het huis zodat je kon kiezen uit zon, schaduw of verkoelend windje. De weg is erg rustig, je wordt wakker van de bellen van de schapen en geitjes als ze door de (vriendelijke) schaapsherder door de vallei geleid worden. Caccamo is op 2 km afstand, heel leuk oud centrum. Cefalu is voor de winkeltjes leuk en gezellig en Trabia voor het strand. Vanuit hier kun je prima naar de Etna reizen, naar Agrigento en Palermo. De bevolking is erg aardig en vriendelijk. Voor lekkere gelati kun je terecht bij het pleintje onder het kasteel. De ontvangst door Anna en Piero was erg hartelijk, aangezien we om 23.30 pas bij het huis aankwamen hadden ze voor ons brood, kaas, ham en olijven gekocht. Het huis zag er keurig uit. We hebben ook de gas BBQ gebruikt, met eigen buitenkeuken en volledig uitgeruste keuken in het huis zijn we niets te kort gekomen. De Wifi is prima. Vanaf het eerste moment voelde het huis goed aan. Het ontbijt met adembenemend uitzicht gaan we erg missen. De vijgen waren rijp en lekker, dat vonden ook de geitjes die zo brutaal waren om onder het prikkeldraad door te komen. In ruil voor wat verse geitenmelk hebben we daar om gelachen. Van de melk hebben we verse geitenkaas gemaakt. Het recept heb ik in het gastenboek opgeschreven. We hadden geen betere plek op Sicilië uit kunnen kiezen. Kortom een aanrader voor iedereen, als je kleine kinderen hebt moet je ze wel in de gaten houden met al die trapjes. Ik wens iedereen zo'n vakantie toe als wij hebben beleefd hier. Ann Prizzi, dank je wel voor je paradijs op aarde!

Fantastisk eiendom!
Huset hadde alt vi trengte og mere til. Nydelig utsikt, godt utstyrt kjøkken, fin sitteplass ute og svømmebasseng. Vi koste oss virkelig her, både voksne og barn! Trengte vi hjelp til noe var det bare å kontakte vertene som snakket flytende engelsk.

Deze villa is gelegen in een prachtige omgeving en biedt veel privacy. De ruime eetkeuken is compleet uitgerust met een goed gasfornuis, ruime ijskast, magnetron, afwasmachine etc. etc.. De woonkamer is gerieflijk ingericht. Op niets is bezuinigd. Dit is zeker een fijn huis om weer een keer in terug te komen. Wij waren maar met z'n tweeën, maar het huis biedt ook voor families met kinderen alle comfort.
