"This place was an epic fail. The place is deplorable. It started with just the exterior being unkept with junk and dozens of cats roaming around. The photos they used must be 20 years old because nothing looked like that. At first they couldn't find my reservation. My room had not been cleaned. There were no towels. The sheets had not been changed. The shower had not been cleaned. Aside from giving me three towels, They did nothing to change this situation. Hôtel Rive Sud

Hôtel Rive Sud

8/10 Good
"Lovely spot, staff excellent, homemade, organic and locally sourced breakfast. Lacked an evening restaurant and options in Chinon in October were a little limited as off season. Great location to explore Chinon wines and Cremant near Saumur. Fontevraud-l’Abbaye was an interesting place to visit."
