"One of the few hotels in Ghent that I saw and it is a lovely one. An interior atrium greets you upon arrival and Starbucks and dining options are in the main area. Breakfast is served in a separate room and there is a canal front terrace for drinks. My room had a pitched ceiling with large oak timbers and floors making it seem very European. Great bed and large screen tv. Gym with treadmills and weights. Walkable to historic sites, grocery shops and restaurants. Very safe feeling for this mature solo traveler. Marriott does it again."

"On the whole it was a nice stay. Staff is super friendly. Room does not have electric kettle but a nice small functional tv was there. Usually electric kettle and tea making facilities are there in most of the budget hotels in Europe. Location is excellent and closer to the places of interest in Ghent. Accessible by public transport Team T1 from Ghent Railway station. Buffer Breakfast had good servings and sumptuous. "

"Great location in the town and very close to an underground car park (which is a bit expensive for a longer stay). Comfortable beds and quiet rooms at the rear of the building. Great breakfast freshly prepared and attentive staff. Room was clean and well equipped, a bit dusty in places so was probably between regular deep-cleans. A more robust filtration system on the kitchen exhaust would help reduce cooking odours from reaching rooms at the top of the building (a maintained pocket, UV & carbon filter system would do the trick). Highly recommend. "
