I wouldn't hold it against the property owners but atleast while we were there the plumbing had an issue where water had started leaking through the floor and down the downstairs wall til the floor was a bit wet and the faux wood paneling on a few of the stairs kept popping off. Overall the property is beautiful, quiet and away from any nuisance or noises. The downstairs game and entertainment room are big enough for small family games or gatherings. The surrounding woods are extremely peaceful just watch for bears. We had seen atleast 3 different bear sightings while staying here but they kinda keep to themselves. Too many deer to count and they just chill there while ya walk or drive by. Only thing I would mention is it is a bit difficult transporting the kayaks and paddle board down to the lake if you don't have a truck. Overall it's a great spot to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet

This was a very nice property, one of the cleanest we've stayed in (and we've stayed in many houses in Alpine over the years), and the host was very responsive. The house is situated on a quiet dead end road. I was told there were only two portable AC units in the house, but there was one in every room and a larger unit in the living room, so the house was plenty comfortable. The only complaint is that the basement smelled very strong (I think they were staining or painting or something) so I couldn't spend any time down there, but I imagine that smell will go away and it wouldn't deter me from staying here again. Also, we found a camera in the living room corner on a shelf. It was facing the corner, so nothing could be seen, but I have these cameras at home and if you activate it from the app, you can listen. I knew there were cameras outside, but I didn't expect there to be one inside. We just removed the batteries and left it sit there. I assume it's turned to face the living room when no one is renting the house, but I didn't like that they could listen if they wanted to. I'd still stay here again.
