"We had a great stay at Burn Hall. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant both nights of our stay and really enjoyed the food too. My only criticism/suggestion is that they should leave more than one tiny bottle of shower gel and another of shampoo in the room. I asked one of the cleaners for more and she happily gave them to us, but it would have been easier to have more from the start of our stay."

"Wonderful hotel. Ideal location. Car park was full so we had to use ncp parking £40 for 24 hours hotel carpark would be £20 didnt get an option to prebook hotel car park this woukd of made a huge difference to the start of our stay. Breakfast was prefect. Clean rooms"

"Very clean and rich buffet at breakfast. The room was not super spacious but was ok for 2 nights (we had a double with an sofa bed extended for our daughter. Not enough hooks in the bathroom, we could do with a couple more. Huge tv screen. No parking but NCP very close and the hotel provided a discount (we paid £50 for 2 days parking instead of £80). It’s a walking distance (max 15mins) to all major attraction but the road is quiet. Lovely stay."

"Great location, clean, modern. Really happy with our choice and to say the breakfast was included in the price, there was a good variety and quality was good too. Would stay here again when we visit York again."

"The hotel was really nice and conveniently located close to the city centre. However, the bed was a bit uncomfortable and could probably do with being replaced."

"Comfortable bed and quiet room. Stayed one night only. Easy to get to by bus from the train station with luggage. Free welcome drink was not very nice (chose non-alcoholic version) - maybe should give guests a choice of something simple like juice. Unfortunately one of the coffee cups in our room was unwashed with coffee stains at the bottom. Easy to walk into city centre to find restaurants etc."

"Only reason I didn’t give a 5 star is because the check staff tried to charge me for a booking I had already paid for - good job I was on the ball and had a receipt to prove. Room was great (albeit hot) and breakfast was also great, lovely restaurant staff, would definitely recommend and location was also a bonus."

"Second stop here, just as good! It’s quirky decor, each room different, with it’s own imperfections make Clementines what it is…different and brilliant! Staff are sooo friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts are superb. Close to the magical city centre, but out of the hustle and bustle and an easy 5/10’ walk. Visiting York? Make it a complete experience, stop at Clementines."
