Tetbury and the surrounding area:
From our property, it is a very short walk up Gumstool Hill to enjoy all the restaurants, bars, shops & antiques in Tetbury. We are also right next to some fabulous countryside walks. Simply cross the Green outside our apartment to enter the walking path that connects to The Tetbury Trail and other walks in the area. Hire bikes are also available here for cycling adventures.
Gumstool Hill is a beautiful, historic street and site of the famous Tetbury Woolsack Races in May. The Millennium Green opposite the house has a pretty river running beside it and from here you can access the Tetbury Goods Shed Arts Centre where you can enjoy refreshments or visit one of their art exhibitions. This is also where you can pick up one of the main walking routes through Tetbury. Also just across the Green, you will find the Royal Oak Pub, a friendly gastropub with a large attractive garden and cosy corners for winter dining. A short stroll up the hill brings you into the centre of Tetbury where you can find a plethora of restaurants, cafes, pubs, interiors and gift shops as well as the Tetbury antiques shops and market.
Tetbury is a thriving market town in the southern Cotswolds and a great jumping off point for exploring this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
