Sametnangshe Boutique

10/10 Excellent

"This hotel is luxurious! I wish to come back here one day. The staff give you a luxurious experience and hospitality is magnificent. It’s the nicest hotel I have stayed at. Stayed here for our anniversary best decision ever! Pros -Very clean. - even the inside of the kettles look brand new! They have slippers ready for you so the floors stay clean. The bathroom was very cleaning and beautiful. -Staff are extremely friendly- Nina, Jesay, Kathy and Neem made our stay easy, enjoyable and hospitable. The staff are superior here. -Food is delicious, we ate at the restaurant and the breakfast. All Thai dishes are so flavourful. The crab meats were huge chunks! Not stingy with portions. Presentation is beautiful. Favourite dishes were crab curry, cashew chicken stir fry, crab omelette and the fresh roti at breakfast -the view is breath taking! It’s so peaceful and relaxing. Didn’t have issues with mosquitos. The place smells lovely. -the room hot tub actually has HOT water and the water is drained and cleaned for every new guest. TIPS to keep in mind: -not much to do around here, would need to book day trips in advance with drivers -because it’s far away from Everything there is no bolt or grab. We used driver who is friendly, nice and has experience with drop off and pick up at this location. -hotel food can get costly dishes are around $20CAD recommend bringing some food along with you."

Cape Kudu Hotel

"I had a sea view room and the view was spectacular. The room was fantastic with a large balcony. Breakfast had a good selection. I ate a few times in the restaurant for lunch and dinner and the food was excellent. They also have a coffee shop with a selection of drinks and cakes. There are several restaurants and bars within walking distance. The complimentary island tour was a good way to get a first introduction to the island. There is a motorcycle rental hut just by the hotel."

Lost Horizon Resort - Khao Sok

10/10 Excellent

"What an unforgettable stay. It was our first time in the Surat Thani province and this being our first stop, certainly didn't disappoint. We utilized the resort sending a Van from the airport, but arranged a ride in advance on our own from the resort back to Surat Thani (doable via the many transport apps). The resort is new, opened within the year (2026). And they are still doing finishing touches to the grounds. We leaned into the "experiences" staff to help coordinate some outings. The staff were awesome in ensuring we had everything we might need, dry bag, rain poncho, etc. We did the bamboo rafting to a cave with a guide, and had a choice of tea or coffee made on open fire. (saw a bunch of monkeys and elephant trails). We also did the group Cheow Lan Lake tour with hike to a cave (they are shared between resorts). I would rate the first as a 9/10 experience, the second 7/10. The lake is beautiful, however, the on-lake restaurant and resort on the scheduled experience has seen better days and it's a f-u-l-l day, no budge in scheduling. We also had scheduled a few in-room massages, top notch service. The restaurant and staff, especially Penh(Ben), were always smiling and remembered our preferences. The food was always cooked fresh and full of flavor. We would definitely stay here in the future, no questions. A great place in the jungle to disconnect with beautiful limestone mountains surrounding it, located along the Sok river."

Khaosok River Home Resort

10/10 Excellent

"Considering you’re out in the jungle basically, the rooms are very well maintained and also air conditioned. The staff is very eager to assist and always on hand. Be prepared to arrive with cash because it seems like the credit card reader is not always available and that can be an issue. This is also a remote property so bear in mind you will only have limited access to all amenities during daylight hours. But the staff is lovely and will bend over backwards to help you in any way they can, just have your expectations in line with the location. That being said there is transport available to all the local attractions, and it’s a truly lovely and one of a kind experience that I am sure you will cherish, as I did :)"
