"Bridget, the motel manager, was lovely—she called ahead to check our arrival time and made sure everything was perfect with the room. The place has been nicely renovated. We drove, so we’re not sure about nearby facilities, but Wanaka is absolutely beautiful.

"My fiancé and I only stayed one night but I honestly wish we stayed longer. Such a cool dome experience! Very modern, incredibly well designed, and furnished. Was super warm due to the built in heating and stunning fireplace. Loved it! Highly recommend! "
"Nice place but charge for every little thing.
$10 to rent a kitchen package (plates, pots etc.). How bout $$10 refundable deposit. ( A surprise for travelers blowing through…. Where every other stop all was provided).
Cabin was nice but no towels. Showers were $1 increasing to $2.
Won’t come back here. "

10/10 Excellent
"What a gem! We loved the heated pool & hot tub & slide. We used them each night in winter! We could walk to the Wanaka tree & the lakes edge. Town was a little bit farther, so we took the car, but it is walkable if it was a little warmer. Our family appreciates 2 bedrooms and the kitchen was well equipped. We spent a day skiing at Cardrona and the drive was easy. I highly recommend this property! "
"Staff were friendly and helpful, recommended the local feeds! Room was spacious and had a lot of amenities such as airfryer, hot plate and cooking necessities. Reception had lots of extra equipment available to borrow for the day, e.g. discs for disc golf, hiking poles and games."
"Loved it! Easy walking distance to the lake and heaps of cafes. We stayed in the budget 2 bedroom self contained cottage and although old it was the perfect choice for us and excellent value for money. I thought we would be really cold but there were heaps of blankets and more than enough heaters to go round. Great spot to set yourself up in for access to Cardrona and the Snow Farm. Hot water and pressure were great. Only thing I didn’t love was that there was no drop box for the room key as we departed early. I didn’t feel right leaving it in an unlocked box that could easily be opened by the next person and I didn’t have a code handy for the safe box. It was a little stressful figuring out what to do when we were in a hurry to leave for a full day on the slopes. I ended up giving the key to the guy in the office next to reception. Overall would recommend and stay again!"
"Stayed single room twin bed ensuite.
Private rooms are expensive in Wanaka. By far the first most expensive private room in NZ.
All good with essentials however which the bathroom are equipped with heater.
2 minutes walk to Four Square grocery and lots of eateries.
Only negative issue is bathroom is very cold in private room ensuite as there is no heater as compared to Haka Tekapo which has heater in both room and bathroom.
The detergents are diluted with 10% detergent and 90% water, guess that’s to save cost.
I bought my own detergent (not expensive from brand Pam’s) from four square to make sure the oily utensils are cleaned and oil free. "
"Room was very comfortable and warm on arrival. It was difficult to maintain the warmth however as the heatpump went off on a very cool night, Warm again in the morning. Very clean and lovely staff. Thank you for a lovely stay."
"We enjoyed this large house in a great location. Things that were awesome: huge rooms, all bedrooms have ensuite which allows for privacy with many couples travelling together, an enormous laundry with two washing machines and loads of space for skiing gear to dry, lovely fireplace and plenty of firewood, spacious kitchen. There were plenty of toilet rolls, lots of laundry detergent and kitchen amenities/appliances (although there was only one black garbage bag in the bin and no replacement). For the most part heating was good, though one of the heated towel rails was not working. Plenty of parking space for our two large-ish vehicles. It is a beautiful and easy walk to town. Overall, this was a great option for our accommodation in Wanaka."
