"This is our second time staying in this beautiful cottage. We’ve been spending Easter in Wales for the last 10 years and this is by far our favourite place! The location is superb and the cottage feels like home - so much love and care put into this property, it just does not feel like a rental accommodation!Thank you so very much Sandra and Sian for sharing your special place with us. "From the second we arrived at the Grove to the second we left my family and I had a wonderful time. The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. The two double rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The hotel too was clean, spacious and comfortable from the cosy lounge with a pool table and dart board for added entertainment to the lovely, bright dining area. We are breakfast there and enjoyed a variety of breakfasts from continental, cooked to pancakes. All were delicious and catered for all tastes and dietary requirements. Breakfast ran until midday so there was no rush to get up early and as the bed was so comfy that was a blessing. Check in was at 3pm and check out at 11am this again ensured a relaxed departure. Parking for hotel guests is free and you just have to register your car on arrival for the duration of your stay. The hotel is perfectly situated at the top of Saint David's high street as you approach from Solva and is a five minute walk to the shops, restaurants of this beautiful city and a few minutes more to the cathedral. All are accessible for walkers, walking sticks and prams. The city and it's surrounding area has much to offer from the cathedral, working wooden mills, fascinating sea cruises (highly recommended,) the pretty town of Solva and many coastal and beach walks. Our only complaint was that we didn't have longer to stay at the Grove and the beautiful city of Saint David's. "

"Our third trip to this lovely little cottage - though the first for a while. Nicely fitted out and equipped, and well located for St David's and the coast. Garden worked well for our dog - good to be able to let her out without worrying about her escaping."

"Great lodge, very comfortable everything you would ever need in the lodge from washing and drying facilities, cooking and drinking - even some games to play - excellent place to stay of excellent standard - the night skies here are amazing too. Sloop pub and Porthgain only a short walk through a field would strongly recommend staying here for costal path walks."

"Fabulous long weekend, this is the pefect location with everything close at hand. Surprisingly easy to find, very well equipped cottage with its own charm. Very clean, whilst quite basic in some respects, every need is anticipated and a lovely homely feel. We slept so well here. Welsh cakes and fruitcake left as a much appreciated welcome. CK Foodstores is a large local shop 6 mins away for everything we needed to easily stock up as well as some farm shops locally we drove past for added local extras.There is no gate on the garden, our very energentic dog was well excersised during the visit and never ventured out, happily running around the garden or laying out on the grass relaxing. Nothing close to distract. We enjoyed the feeling of not being boxed in and that adds to the charm of the place.A very welcome haven after exploring all day. We loved sitting outside in the evening to look at the stars with such a real sense of seclusion. We could hear absolutely nothing. The farm is close be we were left alone and it felt very private, just beautiful countryside. We visited a few beaches with our dog's that you could only access on foot to be rewarded with being the only ones there on a sunny BH weekend. Im a little unfit, but the coastline walks and beaches were glorious! We did not explore the walks directly from the cottage and this is our only regret. We will definitely return and make use of our lovely hosts fabulous knowledge. Thankyou for a lovely stay Debra. "

"The location is the star with this cottage. Porthgain is an absolute gem of a place, and we enjoyed eating in both The Sloop pub next door, and The Shed, which had amazing fish and chips. There's also a lovely ice cream shop in the village. The cottage could have benefitted from more bedroom storage, as the 2nd bedroom had a very small wardrobe. The kitchen could do with an upgrade - there was no freezer, and we tried to make a meal, but the the kitchen hob didn't have enough power to boil the water for spaghetti. That was disappointing, but at least we could pop next door for a decent meal! There are also some restaurants in St. Davids, which is a lovely little place just 10 mins drive away. This was the nearest place with a small supermarket. Overall, we enjoyed staying in the cottage and can't fault its location."
