We only had one night in Doolin but the Hotel Doolin was a great place to lay our heads. Big room, comfy bed and ideal location.

We stayed here for 2 nights for a portion of our honeymoon. From the start, we loved everything about it. Staff were super friendly and helpful with check in, and then will drawing on a map for us to help us find things to do in Galway. The included breakfast was really good. The West restaurant (upstairs) was a little too fancy for us, so we ended up eating down the street at O'Grady's on the Pier. It was amazing seafood. Very nice.

We were relieved to find this very nice place to stay. We had come from Galway where there were zero vacancies. This morning we had a dreamy visit to Thoor Balley.

Nice hotel right on Galway Bay. I visited in late September but would be lovely in summer. Spacious room, good breakfast. Spa services available but I didn’t use them. About 1.5 miles / 25 minute pleasant walk to Galway town center. Large hotel that seems to be used for conferences and meeting point for larger tour groups.

I couldn't have been happier with the extent to which all the staff went to meet our needs while there.

We fell in love with this hotel and the staff. Everyone and everything were superb.

Stunning apartment. The pictures online don't really show what a beautiful place this is or what a great location. The only issue we had was that our reservation code didn't work so we had a hard time with the automated check in. We did finally get a call back and they were able to help us get checked in. This is a stunning property with very professional and friendly staff. There is a beautiful perimeter walk on property, around the golf course and grounds which can include the lake (~1.2-1.5 mile circuit). The food in Palmer’s bar was fine, we liked the chicken supreme quite a bit and the wait staff, especially Derry, was wonderful. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. It was a very good experience. There was also plenty of parking.

Reception staff are welcoming and professional, and very helpful. They excel at making you feel they are there to make your stay better: transportation, directions, shopping, sightseeing suggestions, etched. The best of the last 10 hotels I've stayed in this summer. The dining room is large and open, looking out to the hills of Ennis. The poached salmon was so good I ordered it two nights in a row. Excellent stay - would recommend to anyone. Hotel was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent - buffet of cold options and hot breakfast choice cooked to order. Food was delicious. Parking is very limited, had to double park cars but attendant responded promptly to move them and it wasn’t an issue. This stay was less than two weeks after a stay in a nearby hotel. The experiences were like night and day, The Maldron is the better hotel, by a long shot.
