"We spent a week at Emma & David’s Yellow House in late July 2026, and it wasn’t nearly long enough. Our family group of seven (parents, three adult children, and two partners) absolutely loved it.The house is beautifully furnished and extremely well equipped. Cristina welcomed us warmly with a generous arrival pack. The pool is huge, with plenty of loungers and both sun and shade all day. The location is stunning—peaceful, private, and overlooking a gorgeous valley. The only “noise” comes from birds, crickets, and a friendly cat we named Giorgio.We enjoyed the smoker BBQ, but the star was the stone pizza oven, which produced fantastic crusts. Indoors, the billiard table, table football, and table tennis kept us entertained daily. The kitchen and dining room are stocked beyond expectation.Even during 39C heat, the house stayed cool thanks to Emma’s clear guidance on shading and airflow. We barely needed the fans.It’s an excellent base for exploring Umbria and Lazio. We visited Orvieto, Lago di Bolsena, and a superb sheep-cheese and rare-breed pork farm. We would return without hesitation—next time for two weeks, because leaving after one was genuinely difficult."

"Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Familienurlaub und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Ort und die Einwohner sind sehr gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns willkommen gefühlt.Das Haus ist in 2 Ebenen aufgeteilt. oben gibt es 2 Schlafzimmer mit Klimaanlagen. In einem sind 3 betten -2 einzel und ein 140 bett und in dem anderen ein großes doppelbett.Unten findet man ein wohnzimmer das verbunden mit dem offenen Esszimmer bzw Küche ist. Alles ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. unser Highlight war draußen der große Esstisch unter der pergola mit einem Herrlichen Ausblick.Der pool ist klasse und war für die Kinder das Highlight. Die kommunikation mit unserer Vermieterin war schnell und hervorragend ! Wir waren 3 Woche da, wären aber am liebsten 3 monate geblieben."

"Ontzettend vriendelijke mensen. We werden met open armen ontvangen.Het vakantiehuis zit achter het huis van de bewoners maar dat merk je totaal niet, De zoons werken hard op het land of bij de geiten. Het is er heel rustig, het zwembad is heerlijk en het uitzicht prachtig, Wij hebben nog nooit zo’n complete keuken meegemaakt. Meer dan genoeg pannen, borden en bestek en zelfs zout en olijfolie. Het huis is ruim, de grootste kamer heeft een airco en ondanks dat het twee weken lang rond de 37 graden was bleef het huis koel. De kinderen (8 en 10) vonden het heerlijk om naar de geiten te gaan of om met de poesjes te knuffelen en te spelen."

"An Oasis of Peace and QuietAs soon as we arrived at "La Casa Del Pastore", we knew our vacation would be nothing less than magical. Yes, the road was rough but worth it! And, with patience and daily practice, the ride was very manageable.The house was perfect in size for the two of us, tastefully furnished with a well-equipped kitchen featuring the best set of knives we ever had in any vacation rental.It was very hot during our stay, and while the cottage has ceiling fans in every room, it stayed pleasantly cool for us that we never turned them on.Manuela and Martin, the owners who live in the main house completely out of view above the cottage, could not have been nicer and were very respectful of our privacy.We wanted to rest and relax, and "La Casa Del Pastore" was the perfect place. We would come back in a heartbeat."

"We were two families and we had the most wonderful week at Mario’s beautiful house. The pictures do not do it justice. The pool is amazing, the house is perfect and rustic. The views of the surrounding area are incredible. The house is on the top of a hill and the road up is very steep. So many things to do nearby, Bagnoregio Civita, Bolsena, Sacro Bosco, cascata Marmore. We had such a great week. Mario was a great host. "
