I discovered this gem quite by accident but am happy I did. The room was huge and suitable for a 3-person family. Everything was clean, there was an iron and board, fan, and good water pressure. The best part was the hospitality though. The owner takes care of you and is lovely. Wonderful breakfast as well.

Super ontvangst. Al heel wat hotels gezien en gehad ook zakelijk. Zo schoon en netjes heb ik het nog nooit gezien en dat in een mooi heel oud pand. Echt petje af!

De kamers zijn keurig, de bedden goed. De lokatie vlakbij zee (15 min lopen) is prima bereikbaar met openbaar vervoer. Ontbijt was verzorgd. Verbeterpunten: Er is geen maaltijd mogelijkheid. De kamers aan de straatkant zijn gehorig. Er is geen nooduitgang.

Aquick trip to Den Haag

A very pleasant few days. The hotel has only 8 rooms and felt a bit more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. The manager was a good guy and was helpful.

Clean,comfortable, convenient boutique hotel room

4 nights in The Hague. Hotel Excelsior easily accessible via Tram number 16. 20 minute walk to World Forum. 1 to 2 blocks to several pubs and restaurants Euro style breakfast was excellent. Mr Ed is a gracious and fastidious host, rightfully proud of his boutique property.

De eigenaar is erg vriendelijk, wil je met alles wel helpen en heeft goede tips. Het hotel heeft een huiselijke sfeer. Je wordt hier goed verzorgd, het is erg schoon en het ontbijt is uitgebreid. Helaas waren wij er met warm weer en was er geen airco. |

Nice neighborhood

Staff was great and very helpful. The tram to the city is easy and quick. Being close to the shore means good seafood is nearby. Room #1 is in the front of the building and exposed to some significant street noise. You now have to pay to park on the street. If driving a GPS helps.

Welcoming hotel

This hotel makes you feel home. .You have the key of the main entrance always with you. You manage yourself your room key to the board. The owner is here when you need him, and know how to disappear when not needed. The breakfast is enormous. The owner serves you to the table directly, like Mum did :)

Met de ambiance van een 4-sterren hotel

Rustig gelegen vlak bij een gezellige winkelstraat. Met de tram voor de deur ben je zo in het centrum van Den-Haag.Naar de scheveningse haven en het strand doe je lopende. Het pand bevindt zich in een statig herenhuis met ruime kamers. Op de kamers zijn alle noodzakelijke voorzieningen aanwezig inclusief een ruime badkamer.De kamers zijn schoon met prima bedden en alle voorzieningen werken perfect.In dit herenhuis voel je de sfeer van weleer en het is lekker warm voor de winterse dagen. De service en het ontbijt waren prima.
