The hotel is located in the centre of town which is close to many attractions. The hotel is located on a busy street which is also the main highway which goes through the town. The traffic noise is annoying especially the semis and noisy pickup trucks. I understand the hotel is under new management which is trying to make improvements to the hotel. Some upgrades and renovations would bring the property up to date. Otherwise good value for short stays.

Good restaurants Even though there are security, staff walking the premises, there is harassment from the local population. You have to be careful when you’re outside. They like to bother you for money, cigarettes, and general harassment.. parking should be assigned so no one takes your spot in front of your room

The meals were good. The staff at the front desk were helpful and quick. The TV remote was non-functioning, they could find a spare so they had one taken from another room-it worked. No safety “grab bars” in the shower/tub enclosure. Sidewalks in front of the room were badly beat up and missing chunks of concrete, easy tripping hazard. Back alley was inhabited by n’er-do-wells sleeping up against neighbouring buildings under blankets overnight. Hallway was busy with yelling occupants and slamming room doors all evening. Not a place I’d recommend, or condemn. It served the purpose to crash for the night on a long road trip.

Sparkling clean room that seemed recently redone. Great mattress that also felt new. Attached restaurant served a tasty breakfast. Staff friendly. I had a great stay with easy connections to the bus to Winnipeg. Thank you Wescana!
