"The Spirit Bear coffee in our rooms was delicious!"

"What I expected"

"The Painted Turtle was a good accommodation choice for my stay in Nanaimo. The location was convenient and the availability of cooking facilities was a plus."

"I enjoyed 4 wonderful nights and it was restful. Any future return and i will happily return."

"No heat in the room and door didn’t close properly"

"There was no heat in the room on a chilly night! Also, the maid just walked in at 9 am. this morning - she should have knocked - fortunately I was still in bed!"

"Beautiful view"

"I had a self-catered 3-night solo silent retreat at Bethlehem and am so glad I did. If you want to unplug and reconnect within and with whatever you understand as creation, this is a great place to do it. The facilities are simple but more than adequate, the property is beautiful with a labyrinth, library, pond feature and more, and Westwood Lake could not be more beautiful."

"The toilets are too low. We have knee and hip problems, my husband has had one hip and one knee replaced. It would be an immense help if there were arms attached to the wall behind the toilet wall that could be moved down when people needed them. Also showers only with zero barriers would help. This problem is not only a Grand hotel problem, it’s across the industry."
