"Lovely place in a very convenient setting. Our room, the food and the staff were all great. There were a few small things that would have made our stay perfect… (1) the rooms didn’t have some basic things like water glasses, coffee/tea etc, (2) there was nowhere to get a cup of coffee in between meal times (ie a coffee machine)…"

"Peaceful, gorgeous, spacious home and grounds with the most warm and welcoming hosts. After the busy streets of Rome, coming to Strove felt like finally taking a deep breath. The hamlet is small and very cute, with locals walking their dogs early mornings to grab a cappuccino from the corner restaurant. The house is spacious and stayed cool during the heat of the day. The gardens were lovely. The private pool… was heavenly. This is the perfect get away house to relax and still be central enough to make trips to Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, even Florence is not that far. The hosts, Emanuele and Alessandra were so sweet and happy to give recommendations. They helped us to set up a private cooking class our last night there, and directed us to some local favorite food spots, and even sent me pictures of the streets I needed to take to get the the Elsa River walk. I highly recommend this gem if you are looking a serene Tuscan experience."

"Make sure you plan a ride for pick up at the train station because there’s no taxis waiting. Beautiful property. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Bed was comfortable and ac was strong. Food was very good. Only thing that was not my favorite is that some days there’s no room service and you must make reservations for the restaurant. And if you don’t then you won’t have anything to eat. Didn’t really make sense to me because it’s not a huge hotel so why not have enough to feed everyone without needing reservations. Or just always having room service available would be better. They told me I could get a taxi to go to another property. Which made me upset because how could I NOT get food here. They were very kind to fit me in for dinner because I pushed on how it made no sense to me. And I hadn’t eaten all day so I was upset that then I wouldn’t have anything to eat unless I left. But taxis are very hard to find and the area is so secluded so I didn’t want to have to do that. But in the end the staff was amazing and I had a lovely meal. The mosquitoes were very bad and I left with over 12 bites on my arms and legs after 3 days. So bring bug spray, candles and anti bite spray. Over all it was great. Just plan your meals ahead that was my fault for not being informed enough."

"You couldn’t beat the location, very central to other towns and easy to find. Hosts were so nice and kind and very helpful. It was really nice to come back to the pool after a day of exploring. The whole property was immaculate. We would definitely come back!"
