Top Theberton Hotel Reviews

The Brudenell Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"All good. Very friendly reception- extremely clean and well appointed room, lovely restaurant staff, very nice food, reasonably priced. Car parking on site - great location- Absolutely no complaints whatsoever 👍"

The Ship at Dunwich
10/10 Excellent
"The Ship at Dunwich is ideally situated, just a very short walk from the shingle beach, making it a perfect base for exploring this atmospheric stretch of the Suffolk coast. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay, and were also extremely knowledgeable about the local area, offering helpful advice on walks and places to visit. Our room was compact, but comfortable, with a very good bed and a surprisingly spacious en suite. The hotel has a relaxed, characterful feel and works especially well as a starting point for some excellent coastal and countryside walks. It’s perfectly possible to walk along the shingle beach towards Walberswick and on to Southwold, while the Sandlings Walk offers a different but equally rewarding route along the eroding cliffs, through dense woodland and past the remarkable ruins of Greyfriars Priory. A lovely place to stay if you want comfort, warmth and easy access to one of the most distinctive landscapes on the Suffolk coast."

The Westleton Crown
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed one night, myself and my two teenage children in the family suite. It was a gem of a hotel. Clean, very nicely decorated. Great bedroom and bathroom. Really comfy bed (and I am very fussy). Beautiful towels and toiletries. Nice food in the evening, fabulous breakfast. We didn’t make it down for the complimentary canapés but I am sure we will be back."

Ufford Park Woodbridge Hotel, Golf & Spa
8/10 Good
"A happy stay in very pleasant surroundings. Thank you"

Wherry Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We recently stayed in a king room overlooking the water and it was wonderful. The room and bathroom were both spotless . It was the hottest day of the year so the windows were already open before we got there along with a fan that I requested so the room was at a sleepable temperature. Breakfast was a buffet which we also really enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and I would definitely stay here again."

The Coach House Suffolk
10/10 Excellent
"One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, everything was brilliant, the decor, the cleanliness, the lounge and dining room, the food, and all the staff were superb, have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone,"

Hatfield Lodge
6/10 Okay
"Location is great and the staff were lovely but overall a bit disappointed. Glad we booked the room when it was on discount. We wouldn’t stay again. The beds were awful and uncomfortable, springs were noisy with every tiny movement. The curtains in the room were also poor and didn’t block out the light at all meaning we were awake by 5.30am with sunlight streaming in. There was a big crack in the side of the bath and a bit of mould on the bathroom ceiling. Appreciate it’s not advertised as a 5* hotel but the curtains and beds should have been better."

Wentworth Hotel
8/10 Good
"Decent room with v good sized bathroom in a hotel that celebrates its traditional seaside hotel ethos. Breakfast was good with coeliacs well taken care of. Clean and well maintained, it has excellent public spaces and facilities. Price was a tad expensive for all this, but accept hospitality businesses are under the cosh."

Best Western The Hatfield Hotel
2/10 Terrible
"Upon arrival, we discovered that our room had two single beds pushed together rather than the double bed advertised. Given the record-breaking temperatures over the bank holiday, the climate in the room was exceptionally hot. We discovered that one of the radiators was on full blast and with no control valve to turn it off. With no air conditioning we were forced to open the windows. However, our room was located directly above the hotel kitchen and it's extractor fan which was extremely loud to the point we had to try and drown it out turning the TV up. Add to this loud noises from the kitchen until around 23:00. We were trapped to either suffer the unbearable noise or close the windows and sweat in a room being actively heated during a heatwave. We were forced to choose the latter just to get some peace resulting in a miserable sleepless night. Furthermore, the mattress on one of the single beds showed a distinct dip in the middle. This lack of proper spinal support resulted in an aching back pain the following morning. We reported all of these issues to reception the following morning and were promised a prompt call back. After waiting an hour with no response, we went down to reception in person. We were dismissively told that the team was "very busy" and a manager would look into it and that "other rooms" were also having radiator issues. Absolutely no actions were taken to resolve the issues nor did any managerial representatives contact us."
