"The property is sold on the large doorway in the middle, but you will have the room to the left. During the stay it was cold and raining, but it was not possible to turn on the radiators. The property appears to be overprized."

"Die Wohnung ist wirklich ein Traum, rustikaler Natursteinbau, überkomplett ausgestattet, mit stivlvollen Antiquitäten und Kunst geschmückt, großem Tageslichtbad und Garten mit Terrasse. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und extrem zuvorkommend. Es scheint keine Fragen zur Umgebung zu geben, die Jean-Dominique nicht beantworten kann. Einen Reiseführer kann man getrost daheim lassen. Die Schlafräume sind jeweils auf einer zum Wohnraus offenen Mezzanine untergergebracht, mit sehr steilen Treppen....

"The house offers all possibilities to have a really comfortable time: friendly owner, lots of space, private swimming pool, large garden, kitchen with lots of crockery and devices and nicely situated with backery at walking distance and supermarket nearby, trails for walking and cycling and the many nice places of the Bourgogne (Beaune, Autun, Chateauneuf, etc etc). We had a very pleasant vacation this August!"

"We had a very enjoyable stay at La Petite Maison! Sharon was a wonderful host and provided us with delicious meals! The area is charming and close enough to the major sites in the area, and close to the Dijon rail station. Wish we could have stayed longer."

L'endroit est calme et reposant avec une vue dégagée qui donne sur un champ avec deux chevaux et la vallée.Notre hôte a été très réactif et sympathique.La connexion internet nous a permis de travailler et la proximité de sentiers de randonnée de profiter des forêts et des sites alentours (lac des settons). La ville la plus proche pour faire les courses est Saulieu (fromagerie, charcuterie et cave sont incontournables). Pour le tout venant, un Aldi est suffisant."

On a juste regretté de ne pas avoir bien compris l'annonce: le dortoir et la cave ne sont pas compris dans la location, à moins de payer un supplément. Et par ailleurs il n'y a pas de jardin, le barbecue se situe dans la rue, en face de la maison et près d'un parking de voiture"

COMFORT air-conditioned house with garden, terrace in Medieval City in Burgundy

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed here for a week at the beginning of June and were fortunate enough to have constant sunshine. The patio provided shade at all times of the day and the house remained very cool and comfortable. The upstairs bedroom was spacious and did get hot however the Aircon unit worked well and ensured a comfortable nights sleep. The bed was excellent and firm. An issue for us (because we are in our 70's) was that we had to go downstairs to the bathroom, but we were careful which meant it was not a problem. One of the main positive features was the huge and tranquil garden which was a haven for birds.The property was reached through a double metal electric door where we could drive through the courtyard for completely secure parking. And we were provided with a zapper so that that we could come and go as we pleased. We also were able to access the town through a locked gate in the garden which lead to the street. There were many restaurants within a short walking distance and an Intermarche 5 minutes drive away.The owner (Francois) was extremely helpful and friendly and he was very adept at communicating using Google Translate as our French is rather poor. It was such an advantage having the owners at the other end of the garden and we made friends with their dog, and a few cats. Overall a great week."
