"Stayed over Memorial Day weekend. House was chosen as overflow lodging for a family event nearby. Sleeping set up was great for adult children with their own young families. One of our adult children has 3 little ones 3 years and under and they were able to stay together in the massive master bedroom with a quiet upstairs location perfect for kids naps. "My daughter and I stayed at Summit Street Inn for a weekend of college touring and getting to know Winston Salem. This inn is beautiful and clean, conveniently located at the “end” of downtown. We felt safe and walked to dinner and other outings. The home is well maintained with a mix of old (original creeky floors) and new (bathrooms) and lovely gardens! We will be back!"

Major issues: Chained dog barked all night, the washing machine didn’t work, had to call to find the linens which were stored in a file cabinet in a bedroom, showed up during check in time and cleaning staff was still there, hardly any dishes on site so forget about cooking a meal there. Place was a disappointment at best, especially for the overall cost."
