"The property is magnificent. If I could give an award for most beautifully naturally manicured grounds with artistic sculptures and waterfalls, I would give this property a 15 out of 10. The staff was helpful addressed everything immediately and made us "Canadians" feel at home. The food was the only let down. The service in the Bistro was excellent but the food was overpriced for the quality being served. Unfortunately the night we wanted to eat in the main dining room there was only a four course menu that evening and my wife and I did not eat items being served. We had to return home before we had the opportunity to eat there. My comments only pertain to the Bistro."

"We had such a lovely stay at Hotel Villa Sophia! Here’s what we loved: The Property: The hotel is tucked away in a quiet, peaceful spot, and has such a charming, relaxed feel. The pool was beautiful and so well cared for—we really wish we’d had more time to spend out there! The Room: Our room was exactly what we needed—comfortable, quiet, and thoughtfully set up. It made it easy to just settle in and unwind. The Breakfast: There were plenty of breakfast options to choose from, and everything was fresh and tasty. It was a nice, low-key way to start the day. The Staff: The staff were truly one of the highlights. Everyone we met was incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. It made the whole experience feel extra special. The Atmosphere: The front office had this fun, Hollywood decor that gave the hotel so much personality. It didn’t feel like a generic hotel at all—it felt personal and cared for. Across the board, we really enjoyed our time at Villa Sophia. It’s peaceful, charming, and run by people who really care. We’d absolutely stay here again!!"

The abundant storage space and wall hooks. I didn’t realize how much I needed a place for everything until I had it. No more digging through piles of clothes or tossing jackets on chairs—everything had a home. Brilliant. And the complimentary breakfast? Out. Of. This. World. It felt like waking up to a gourmet market: a full charcuterie spread with meats and cheeses, fresh breads and pastries, an aesthetic cereal bar, fresh juices and a DIY juice machine. The hot items were perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. I was genuinely excited to wake up and eat every morning. As a cherry on top, they welcomed me with a complimentary cocktail—a fun, unexpected touch that set the tone for a great stay. Would stay here again and again without hesitation. Moxy nailed it. "You are required to use a kiosk to check in to the property. I paid Expedia and had a receipt but the kiosk was demanding I pay again. I had to wait over an hour for reception to open and sort the issue out. Breakfast was good and location to bus was great. "
