"This is a nice place, plenty of space for a family of 4, but bring your own toiletries and go shopping at the market for breakfast. There are just enough towels so plan to do laundry. It's a very convenient walk down to the harbor restaurant."

"The hostel has a great location on the cliffs above Hvitserker and a seal colony - an attractive old farmhouse.Eat before you get there or bring food. There is a shop to buy coffee pastries and fresh bread. A wonderful experience.9"
"We had a family room which doesn’t afford much privacy and there’s not much to do around here Hótel itself. But it was nice, clean, and the breakfast was amazing."
"I loved this place. The staff was so kind. It is so easy to find, right there on the Ring Road. It was a warm and welcoming place, with a special area dedicated to their Grandmother. It was a wonderful little oasis along our journey."
"I loved staying at the Aurora Igloo North. I fell asleep watching clouds and stars. I woke up seeing horses and mountains. My room was very clean. The room had a heater and a fan. The bed was heated and had the most luxurious comforters so I wasn't cold in the middle of the night. Someone attends to the kitchen and shared bathrooms throughout the day, so the places stay tidy and well stocked with clean fluffy towels. When I showered at 6pm the shower gel was empty and still empty the next morning at 7am. I used the plentiful shampoo instead to wash my body so it was fine. Sometimes there is a short wait to use the bathroom. The kitchen has a complimentary coffee machine and tools to cook even though I didn't use them. For the price, I think this place was a great value for such a unique and lovely experience."
"We had a great stay here, mainly because we got in early and were able to make full use of the free washing machine and dryer (you have to bring your own detergent though), as well as the kitchen. There were not many pots/pans provided in the kitchen, so had there been more people, this could have been frustrating, but that was not our experience. We also note that they seem to have added more hot plates based on advice in the reviews.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a kettle, a microwave, and hot plates, as well as most necessary utensils to make a simple meal.
There were plenty of bathrooms, though note that these are all on one side of the building. They also smell a bit weird, but we think that's just the Iceland water. There is one washing machine and one dryer, but we used both and had no issues.
The soundproofing between the rooms and the main lounge was really good—we couldn't hear quite a large, loud group at night time and were shocked when we went there in the evening and noted that they were all chatting. The soundproofing to the hallway from the rooms wasn't as great though.
The bedroom and common area were clean and in good condition. The bunkbed was a bit squeaky, but the beds were comfortable."
"3-room house. Very basic furnishings, but everything g is clean and well-functioning. Comfortable bed! Town has little to offer except the main restaurant; good food and we saw whales in the fjord while having dinner. It was a good, efficient stop on the Ring Road."
"We did not realize that this hotel was not in fact in Hvammstangi, but rather a 30 minute drive on a dirt road. However, the location was really beautiful, with horses in the pasture next door, and water views. We had a room with a private bath. We ate dinner in Hvammstangi proper (the restaurant above the Seal Museum), and then drove to the hotel and had late check in at 9:30pm. Breakfast was solid. The room was sparse, but adequate. We just needed a place to sleep, shower, and get breakfast, and this placed sufficed."
