"Lovely location, near a lake with restaurants, kayaking. Property was lovely, nice pool and amenities. Staff were really friendly, they gave us free ice cream, milk when the shop was closed and extra water. They also let us have a late checkout which helped us out and found me a place to work whilst I was there. Great language skills and a very enjoyable stay."

"Room and ensuite spotlessly clean. Bed comfortable and very welcome and efficient air-conditioning during excessively hot spell. Room very quiet. Pleasant and helpful staff. Very good buffet breakfast which could be eaten outside on terrace with awning weather permitting. Only downside was lack of space outside to sit or lounge area inside but probably not really necessary as most guests appeared to be overnighting enroute to other places. A pity because Saintes is an interesting and pleasant town. Good restaurant right next door."
